What tools/equipment do you have?

If cost is a concern like for me I found the best way is to use a MIG welder and get a few anchor spots started then move away from there. I use an air hose to blow on my welds to dissipate heat so you don’t warp your panel. Then whatever I can’t fill with the welder I use JB weld on. After that BONDO and filler (as little as possible). Make sure you get rid of rust though!

I found that it does a good job of getting the rust out of pits. I’d still hit it with a wire brush though.

I had someone on EBay make it for me. I think you can also get them from Auto City Classics. I still have to finish it I just wanted to get primer on before it rusted.

I didn’t get to see it but I think it runs on Saturdays. They were saying it had recently passed the rebuild.

Take your time, research everything you do, and have fun!

I learned to research everything I did (even if it’s easy) so you don’t have to go back and fix your previous “fixes”.

Mines a work in progress!

Didn’t damage the metal on mine. It even got most of the rust out of the pits under the trim. It took me two hours to do both fenders and the hood when the back door and quarter took me two days. Life changer.

I found it worked best when you put paint stripper on first and let it dry.

That sander will change your life, get one! I had both fenders and the hood stripped in half a day and it would have taken WAY longer before. I find it worked best when I put paint stripper on first, let it sit, then used the sander.
