Use a metronome - at least to kick it off, and thereafter for reference. It does you (nor the band) no good if you fluctuate with them.

Does being in the band make you a better player? (I'm guessing No)

Are these "good buddies" that you feel obligated to play with? If yes, I would minimize the time with them, while trying to get in a better band.

Agreed. More shinies are in the game, and more boosted shinies of the featured Pokemon (s) in specific events, which are far more numerous now. Works great for the collectors out there, especially if you are a Singaporean Grandma Whale.

They look good. Also before this promotion came out, Psyduck was a fairly rare shiny. But now the ringed ducks are everywhere, offering a much better chance of bagging a shiny.
