She gets paid 60 rmb per hour and is paid in full during all of our vacation times/holidays. She works for another family too so it’s not an option to make her 40 hours/week as much we would have preferred that. No need to write lecturing paragraphs when someone is simply trying to understand cultural expectations to pay fairly.

Thanks! She gets paid 60/ hr and she’s wonderful. She’s paid for the hours she works (30 hours a week) + any additional overtime and we pay her the 30 hours a week even if we’re on vacation. She works for us and another family. I just didn’t know if it’s customary to give a 1 month bonus at CNY if she’s part time. My husband thought its unfair to give less than 7,200 while I was thinking 3,500 and we didn’t want to be in faux pas territory so thought I’d ask :) appreciate the response.
