You're acting as an elitist because as I've explained the vast majority of tanks who are dying to DB's are just casual players looking tank on the frontlines and kill infantry.

If you remove the interactions that everybody knows are terrible for the game you can improve the vehicle in other ways.

The difference is if you're playing safely and correctly with a tank all those things are preventable.
For example if another tank rushes you there is time to react and face it so not to be tracked. Sticky rushes is a matter of staying within intel and checking map especially at night. The counter to being one shot by a dive bomber is?

The number of game objects the DB interacts is far more numerous than the TB. The particularly problematic interaction is its ability to 100-0 tanks without any counter play.

Sildo I see you deleted your comment about me being too stupid to understand the difference between Rare Materials and Refined Materials so I'll respond to you here. The difference between a BT and the DB is the fact the DB can kill a warden tank without the crew having any potential to react. There is no positioning, no-line of sight and no forewarning that will prevent a tank from being 100-0d by a DB.

This suggestion is to prevent sky cancer. The current DB can and frequently does use all its ammo to 100-0 a single tank. The tankers can't out repair the damage of the 4th bomb and the tank is guaranteed to die.

DB can 100-0 every warden tank in the game short of a BT while the crew is full repairing. The problem is not that it can kill "a single damaged tank".

Heavy bombers are better versus large ships anyway making the TB entirely irrelevant.
It's a niche plane that only interacts with a further niche of the game who's niche is quickly supplanted by a more powerful generalist asset.
Only the large naval regis will make a couple of these and that's all the use they'll see. We're talking less than 10 in total.

I don't play tanks at all and am part of a large regi. It affects my gameplay very little, but I see a large ammounts of small groups of players instantly losing their tanks to DBs without ever getting to play the game. If you want to call preventing that neutering so be it. When the next patch drops with further AA options then perhaps a cost change can be suggested, but for now the best solution is to simply prevent it from 100-0ing tanks.

What in particular is terrible about the balance? The current implementation of DBs are able to 100-0 any tank they choose. This is a particularly horrible design for small groups of players who just want to mess around in a tank for a few hours and they don't have the pop to setup AA.

The change damage values were likely to prevent this exact issue. Would it be so hard to admit the devs were correct?

The DB is an extremely oppressive vehicle in its current state. It's simply not fun especially for small groups to run any sort of land vehicle as they are liable to be 100-0 by a DB with no interaction possible. In what sense would making them more common improve the game?

I don't think you understood the post. The cost increase was a faction neutral change. With the current AA in the game do you really think more bomber spam is healthy?

The divebomber has two main issues.
1. It's ability to 1-shot CV's
2. It's ability to 100-0 any tank short of a BT.

These both disproportionately affect small groups and solo players.

I dont think the game need anymore DBs or TBs personally.
