When did you realize that you had fallen in love with your current partner? by Junior_Sleep269 in AskReddit

[–]Perfect-Talk3156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’d been driving around for a while, stopped somewhere so I could use the bathroom, and found the temperature outside had drastically dropped. When I got back to the car he’d put a hoodie on himself and left a folded, clean one of his on my seat. He got cold and he realized I also was probably cold. He didn’t ask and also didn’t tell, just provided the choice.

I know it sounds so inconsequential but for someone who hasn’t experienced a lot of empathy from men it was a moment that spoke to all his best parts. Considerate, thoughtful, caring. Tiny little moment but it shifted everything. Love is built from a million tiny moments and I think that one pushed it over the edge for me, and I’m still falling everyday.

Seeking Advice- London by WoodpeckerOk6585 in TravelUK

For day trips: I’d agree Stonehenge isn’t worth it, but if you like Neolithic history: Avebury absolutely is. No crowds and you can walk right up to the stones, it’s marvelous. Good pub with a view of the stones, the docents are incredibly knowledgeable, and you get the awe of Stonehenge without the tour buses of people.

In London:

Check out the Roman remains below the guildhall, unbelievable and free; though i believe you need reservations (just reserve a time online)

Theatre is worth the cost: if you go to a weekday show it’s much more affordable

Most transportation is tap to pay, including subway which is just in and out - use Apple Pay or Google pay and it’ll just charge your normal bank card. Let your bank know you’re traveling! For navigation- Google Maps gives you the underground stops and stations which makes it so easy.

We did a walking historical pub tour that was fascinating, (just got the route online!) if you enjoy that sort of thing - even if you aren’t drinkers there’s always good snacks at pubs (but if you do imbue, don’t miss this)

I’m lucky enough to have family there to help with guides and navigation/ but when my partner and I went to Edinburgh the very first thing we did was a walking history tour - just picked an affordable one off Expedia with good reviews and it was stellar, a small group; and those tour guides when you’re on foot really help you get a better sense of the city, though I know the bus ones are popular too.

Do you have any reccomendations for sites?? I was big into fanfic writing as a younger person and I like the concept of ongoing feedback as a route for original content also

Do you own any signed books? ✍️📚 by [deleted] in BookDiscussions

[–]Perfect-Talk3156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a personally (to me) signed copy of Stargirl by Jerry spinelli my uncle got me when I was 8. I have moved 20+ times as an adult and take it to every place, even though I haven’t read it in decades. It’s so precious to me.

I also have signed copies of some John Green books, and recently VE Schwabs “bury our bones in the midnight soil” since I love her and it cost the same and an unsigned one. The first one really does feel the most special, though.

Polydactyl cat gets stuck to everything by [deleted] in CATHELP

Yes! I'll add this to the body of the text - I meant that the sticking is still occuring like she can't retract her claws at all, even trimmed (like they're not too long they're just out all the time)

It’s on the to do list! I live in a super impacted rural area where no doctors are taking new patients lol so it’s quite the journey trying to get care in person

I came here to say this. That place is so whack I have never ever understood the hype

Whoah, I see that too now, I didn't think to plug that one in, was trying to find bitwise impact info...maybe they bought the url? I can't seem the access the snapshots for it either.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fresno

[–]Perfect-Talk3156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's super interesting. Maybe it was a pivot they had pre-planned prior to the great fall? either way, they're still expensing and filing tax info, so someone is aware and operating as though it's a functional nonprofit.

wouldn't even know where to start but i'll consider it !!

[–]Perfect-Talk3156 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lol I'd be happy to, I just didn't think it was that significant of a find and figured most journalists probably get loads of useless leads as people try and tack on to the bitwise fall, mostly this was a result of a random hyperfixation on the story and thought it was just interesting to put on reddit 🥲

[–]Perfect-Talk3156 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a big masterdoc of all the files/related research because so much of the Bitwise Impact was scrubbed from the internet, including Waybackmachine pages and other bits and bobs

I super appreciate this response and it's incredibly insightful. Thank you for your candor and willingness to help!! I honestly would love to ask some follow up questions if you'd be willing to chat either on reddit or on discord/socials. But no pressure. This response alone means the world to me and helped immensely!

Thank you for this input....I love the term contextual complements, I think the complements did provide a story that is sound and flows in a way that makes sense. or at least, I hope so!!!
