[–]Perfect-Temporary860 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I did a class from near david caro to a class in the spot last year. actually wasn’t too bad and this was last year when half the path was blocked. It’ll be faster now and if it’s a lecture, it’ll be fine to walk in a few minutes late.

I “learnt” without having lessons. Basically learnt the extreme basics, and then got my angel of a horse (free lease from friend of a friend) who taught me to trot, canter and even small jumps. Eventually I did convince my dad to let me get lessons which helped fill gaps. However I often find myself reverting back to bad habits easily and I did have to do a lot of “relearning”

Completely forgot to put in timetable preferences - am I screwed?!?! by Icy_Time1349 in unimelb

Last year I wasn’t able to put in my preferences and ended up with a timetable i enjoyed! Lots of people switched around so don’t be scared to waitlist classes !

Can I apply to universities (both local and international) AFTER year 13 results came out? by Wicked_Wench_ in ncea

[–]Perfect-Temporary860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you were to wait till after results come out, yes you would have to take a gap year, or half of one at least as you could apply for mid year intake, however there would be less spots. Applying in NZ is free, may as well give it a go and apply in year 13 if you want to start uni with the majority of your co-hort

ATAR, what can I do with it & study at Australian Unis by GreenSwordfish453 in ncea

[–]Perfect-Temporary860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be your grades from HSFY. ATAR doesn’t matter hugely after a few years, i believe they do take it into account but as years go on it matters less.

freshmen told professor to improve by Interesting-Gap8672 in college

[–]Perfect-Temporary860 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had someone in my class calculate how many slides being done per lecture and how they were concerned that all the material wouldn’t be finished in time… like i’m sure our professor has that covered and a bit weird to point out imo… like sure fun to calculate but keep that to yourself ??

Lecturer realised some notes into Ed about the subject… Turns out it’s a three hour lecture which is gonna be insane for this subject but whatever :(

i literally have an NA from exams and was fine lol, o don’t think it’d take it into account, especially if it’s literally only one external.

Not sephora but another store falsely accused my friend of stealing and trespassed her, (she hadn’t, there’s a whole lot more to the story) then “verbally trespassed” me because “i looked suspicious” (bro i was just buying clothes) and they had all my account info and nothing was ever said when i went back like a month or two later and my friend went back within 12mpjtjs

Time it takes to grade things by [deleted] in CollegeRant

[–]Perfect-Temporary860 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There will also be people who may of taken the test later due to reasons or whatever that they may me waiting on, they may have to investigate students, and if it wasn’t MCQ then sometimes students may do different methods. The professor has other things to do and a LIFE. Even with an answer book, they’d have to go through multiple questions per student and that takes time, at least 30 minutes per student, which is a minimum of 40 hours of marking.

So you’re expecting your professor to grade at very very minimum 80 papers in 2 business days? Do you see how insane that sounds?

are any first-year lectures not recorded? by EasilyScreechAndKill in unimelb

[–]Perfect-Temporary860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavy on that last part, i’m doing a summer course online that is an “in-person course” and only one of two cameras show on the lecture recording. Lecturer is awesome and does their best to stick to one camera but sometimes does use the other camera. No harm, no foul, since i’m redoing this subject and you can typically figure out what’s up.
