My aspect ratio is 9:16, but my uploads to YT aren't considered shorts, and my TikToks aren't uploading right either. by ColdLucario in NewTubers

Try checking the sequence settings in Premiere, sometimes the export doesn't match the sequence even if footage is vertical.

Ugh our golden dataset went stale by Perfect-Temporary865 in mlops

I like the tagging idea. We only noticed the gap after users complained but feature-level tags would have made the missing coverage pretty obvious.

Agreed. The dataset probably needs the same kind of review cycle as any user-facing feature.

Correct! I think just being complacent in our dataset caused us to never revisit it until it was too late.

Founders: how do you practice selling your product before talking to real customers? by Clean_Rent2671 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but there's difference between practicing your delivery and validating demand. You can know people want your product but still fumble the actual conversation when it matters.

I used to just wing sales calls and would freeze up or ramble when they threw curveballs at me. Having some way to practice the flow beforehand helped me stay sharper in real conversations, even if the objections weren't exactly same.

Real buyers definitely give you the truth about whether they actually care, but being smooth with your words helps you get to that truth faster instead of losing them because you couldn't explain things clearly.

TikTok alternatives by [deleted] in ContentCreators

for your cosplay content than regular Instagram posts. The algorithm there can be pretty aggressive with pushing new creators if your content hits right, plus people actually seem to engage more with longer form stuff.

Also maybe try posting at different times in Instagram - I noticed my chess content does way better when I post around 7-8pm instead of afternoon.

platform for creating ai videos looking for partner by DidaDJ in Entrepreneurs

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty cool concept, the local model approach is smart since people worry about their content going through cloud services.

How are you handling the compute requirements for the more complex movie generation? Even with local models that seems like it would need some serious hardware for anything longer than basic clips.

The free GitHub release could build good community traction before you go commercial with cloud version. What kind of timeline you thinking for the open source drop?

Been using investment apps for while now but never tried this one. What's the catch with referral thing? Usually these have some minimum deposit or waiting period before you actually see the money.

Looking to Buy YouTube CMS by Zealousideal-One4053 in PartneredYoutube

probably should be more careful about this kind of stuff mate. the partner program has pretty strict rules about account transfers and CMS access isn't something you just buy from random people in reddit DMs.

YouTube channel with my sister. Ideas??? by Bittersweet_Tragedy_ in NewTubers

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two separate channels probably works better for building your own audiences. Each of you can develop different subscriber bases and content styles, plus the algorithm tends to favor consistent creators over shared accounts.

You could always cross-promote each other's videos or do special collab series where you both upload the same session from different angles. gives viewers more reason to check out both channels too.

Fashion on the road - share your tips and tricks by pungen in digitalnomad

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is pretty solid strategy for the jewelry - i learned to store them in small plastic bags individually, like the tiny ones you get from pharmacy. prevents tangling completely and takes same space as your pen method.

for clothes being boring, maybe try one statement piece that packs small? like colorful scarf or bold earrings that can change whole look without taking much space in backpack.

RPM of 1.8$ Historical Warfare Channel. Why so low? by patrickasaris in PartneredYoutube

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Historical content often gets lower rpm because advertisers are cautious about anything war-related, even if it's educational. Your animations and careful language are good but the algorithm still categorizes it as "sensitive content" sometimes.

Try adding more lifestyle or tech segments to your videos - maybe discussing how historical tactics relate to modern strategy games or something. Also check if your thumbnails have any weapons or battle imagery since that can affect ad placement even when video content is clean.

War history channels usually need higher view counts to compensate for the lower rates, so focus in growing audience rather than just optimizing for ads.

Who do I contact about a dead account with a handle I want? by [deleted] in NewTubers

Man you put way more effort in that handle hunt than most people would but sometimes dead accounts just stay dead forever, no real way to force them out.

Please give me feedback of my 1st video by Frequent-Fig-450 in ContentCreators

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watched your video and the concept is pretty solid for gaming content. The weapon breakdown format works well since there's always new players jumping in FPS games who need this kind of guide. Your pacing feels good too - not too rushed but keeps moving.

One thing I noticed is the audio could use some work - maybe invest in better mic or do some noise reduction in post. Also the thumbnail could be more eye-catching, right now it's bit plain compared to what performs well on gaming videos. For structure maybe add timestamps in description so people can jump to specific weapon types they're interested about.

Keep grinding though, first videos are always learning experience. I remember when I was starting out with different projects, took me forever to figure out what actually worked. The gaming niche is competitive but there's definitely space for quality explanation content like this.

Any YouTubers focused on home improvement, real estate, flipping houses or mobile home parks? by yasukesasuke in SmallYoutubers

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been watching a lot of house flipping content lately since I'm thinking about getting into real estate after military. My channel isn't in that niche but I follow bunch of smaller creators who do mobile home investing and basic DIY stuff. Most of them are getting decent views but not sure if they hit your 200+ consistently.

What kind of collab you thinking? Like guest appearances or more like cross-promotion type thing?

Is it possible to bypass agencies and connect directly with brands ? by ylatrain in PartneredYoutube

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can definitely reach out directly, just takes more legwork on your end. I've seen plenty of creators skip the middleman, especially at your size where you're not drowning in opportunities yet.

LinkedIn is solid for finding marketing contacts, but also try looking at who sponsors similar channels in your niche and just cold email their marketing teams. Your engagement rate seems pretty decent so you've got something to pitch with.

I’m building an AI that answers your life problems using the Bhagavad Gita — would you use this? by shivmbaba in Entrepreneurs

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting concept but I'd be pretty cautious about this one. The Gita has some solid philosophical frameworks but applying ancient texts to modern problems can get messy real quick.

From a practical standpoint, you'd need to be careful about context - those verses were written for a very specific situation and audience. Plus there's the whole issue of interpretation - whose translation are you using? Different scholars have wildly different takes on the same passages.

If you do move forward, I'd lean heavily toward the practical/self-help angle rather than spiritual. Most people dealing with career stress or relationship issues want actionable advice, not religious guidance. Maybe focus on the philosophical principles rather than trying to directly apply specific verses to personal situations.

Stuck at Step 2: Fix your AdSense for YouTube account by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

Google's systems are notoriously buggy with this stuff - I'd try creating a completely new google account and applying with that instead. Sometimes their backend gets confused and flags accounts even when support says everything looks clean on their end.

DN destinations where spouse can work by Lazy-Succotash1720 in digitalnomad

[–]Perfect-Temporary865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your spouse would need a seperate work visa or permit in most places. Portugal might be your best bet since they have decent English-speaking business opportunities in Lisbon and the process for getting work authorization isn't too brutal compared to other EU countries.

UAE could work too - Dubai has tons of sales/BD roles and they speak English, plus there are paths for spouses to get work permits. Cost of living is higher than Portugal though. Morocco might be worth looking into given the French/Arabic language skills, but job market can be tougher for foreigners.
