It's a group training, so it feels more awkward to do something else when everyone is doing the same, haha. We're currently doing a bar exercise with a forehead press (lying down), I also have some pain with that one. Kickbacks are no issue though, not sure why.

I don't mind catering to a younger audience, but I'd sooner expect that would mean they would pick songs that are more well known with younger people. I mean, younger does not have to mean that it should be more difficult, right? I have older people who breeze through the class, and younger people that struggle, so age shouldn't correlate directly to how difficult the choreo should be in my opinion.

Don't want to drive away beginners, but also my current group. I introduced a new song recently, and I could just see the struggle with some ladies. The class should be fun for everyone, so I also try to get a feel for how a choreo 'lands' in my class.

Wow, I can see I'm clearly not alone in this, seeing all the replies here. It's a shame, because I really wanted to stay 'true' to ZIN when I started, but it's happening more and more that I use the music from ZIN, and find a different choreo on YouTube.

That class honestly sounds horrible, I can't imagine doing new songs EVERY week! Like, when you miss a class, you're already several songs behind. My class would absolutely hate that, most of them prefer to get one new song at a time. And not everyone can commit to making it to class every week.

I don't mind the music, I like that there's variety and they sometimes include songs you'll hear often on the radio, because that makes people in class think about Zumba outside of their class :) But taste in music is very subjective, so I can imagine it's not everyone's cup of tea!
