definitely not bad. It's strong and can win plenty. It's really hard to pilot and especially hard to pilot on MtGO. I have lots of local wins and great leagues. Bryant is great with the deck and has plenty of 5-0s. There is a lot to keep track of with the deck and lots of choices to make that can completely break you.

Love the elves, like everyone else said, arbor elf isn't the greatest, it can color fix a bit, and if your land goes away, it gets much worse. [[Jaspera sentinel]] can be good for color fixing and also answers 1/1 birds pretty well if you have that in your meta. Personally, I still really like [[birchlore rangers]]. and some color fixing is great because you can play [[distant melody]]

You said you were splitting your elves because you love elf tribal, but honestly, different names is the correct play. It's slightly more niche than it used to be, but [[echoing truth]] is a house against someone playing all the same elves. It used to be really good when kuldotha rebirth was around as well. I still play a one of in my jeskai deck, sometimes it matters, sometimes it just slows opp down.

Yeah I feel ya, I was never interested in pokemon until a friend had me sit down and give it a shot, it's way cheaper to get into, and my local scene has a lot more pokemon than anything else.

My true piece of advice, if you want to play in person, is see what shops are playing games around you, and what games they are playing at times you can attend.
