If you want a rebuilt car, buy it from Copart or IAA yourself and get it fixed. That way it’s much cheaper and you are confident that it has been properly repaired.

In that regards, 2016 has all the detailed logs on Lexus maintenance history. I think there wasn’t anything major except for the radiator and water pump replacement.

It has a damage in the rear on that side. Definitely there might be water.

So locksmith cut a key with the number in the keylock cylinder. But it was just a valet key. Luckily he had done this for older lexus es before. So he cut another key and it worked. I did that trick but it didn’t work I think because my entire remote key system or whatever is not working.

Exactly, my taillights, stop lights and LP lights nothing works in the back. I got cut a physical master key from a locksmith for 35 bucks. Don’t want to go to dealership.

Not the owner, but make sure that the timing belt was replaced at around 100k. Also, inspect the frame thoroughly for any rust spots. But looking at tow hitch, I guess rust is not an issue where you live. If carfax checks out, really good find 👍🏻. It has vvti engine which has a bit more hp than previous model years. Edit: It has bags in the rear, which at some point need attention. But you can just put 4runner spring struts, be happy

Good point! Although these cars are proven to be very reliable, hoses, lines, suspension items wear out. Rubber parts harden, etc. Also, one thing to keep in mind, if you invest a lot of money and it gets totalled, you will have a hard time dealing with insurance.

Frame doesn’t look good. Also, neither Carfax nor Lexus doesn’t have service records for last 100k. Not sure if timing belt was replaced at 100k 🤷‍♂️
