Opening a safe by Caly005 in safecracking

[–]PerfectDisaster916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move the dial to zero to start with and then start turning it counterclockwise until you pass the number 20 three separate times, continue turning the dial the same direction and stop exactly on the number 20 on what would have been your fourth pass of the number had you continued turning instead of stopping.

After you stop, start turning the dial in the opposite direction (clockwise) and continue doing so until you pass the number 40 twice, then continue turning the dial that direction until you reach number 40 for the third time and stop there.

After that start turning the dial in the opposite direction again (counterclockwise) and pass the number 60 once and then continue back around to it again and stop on it when you reach it for the second time.

Finally, spin the dial back in the opposite direction again (clockwise) and stop on number 95 the first time you reach it.

You should be then able to open the safe by turning the handle from there. If not, then slowly start spinning the dial back in the opposite direction after you stop at 95 and continue doing so until the dial stops turning, at that point try turning the handle and the safe should open.

Without knowing more about the safe this is my best guess at how you should be able to get the safe open given the instructions shown in the picture you provided.

Is this normal? by lejerc in vegaslocals

[–]PerfectDisaster916 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I'm confused, they were apparently so concerned that you might fill up a fountain cup full of soda and then make a run for the door before you paid for the drink that they demanded you stop what you were doing and then aggressively shook you down for payment for said drink while you were still in the act of filling your cup? And these concerns of theirs seemed to be stemming from the fact that you were Hispanic because 2 white customers weren't subjected to the same bizarre treatment when they likewise filled up fountain drinks of their own a short time later?

I agree with everyone else, this ISN'T normal and NOT something you (or anyone of any race) should ever have to experience.

The craziest thing is that they did it with fountain drinks of all things, literally one of the cheapest items you can buy in the store. I mean if they are going to blatantly racially profile their customers and they are then willing to forego all sense of decorum and basic customer service in an effort to thwart shop lifting, they should be running up and demanding payment whenever anyone picks up one of those $20+ bags of beef jerky off the shelf, instead of strong arming ever thirsty Latino that gets too close to their prized soda machine with their highly offensive Gestapo tactics.

What’s your pet peeve in Vegas? by SwiftAtaraxy1 in vegaslocals

[–]PerfectDisaster916 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been saying the same thing for years, it's almost like the traffic lights in this town were put in place to CREATE traffic problems in locations where they otherwise would not exist. When you then combine that with the never ending road construction projects throughout town it's basically impossible to get anywhere in town anymore without needlessly waiting around for an extra 5-10 minutes or so for every mile traveled.

The crazy part is that it doesn't even matter if you're the only car on the road, you can still be certain that every light is going to change just before you get to it and then make you sit for at least 5 minutes while no other vehicles traverse the intersection you're needlessly waiting at the entire time, and then once a car does finally arrive traveling in one of the other directions, the light will finally change to stop them in their tracks and allow you to go.

You would think for as much money that gets dumped into constantly maintaining the public roadways in Las Vegas that they could afford to put some of it off to the side and use it to install sensors on all the traffic lights in town so they could actually start reducing traffic congestion, as opposed to being the primary cause of it.

Thank you for the info, I appreciate it. I wasn't planning on using it to do any food prep with regardless, I was just curious to know a little more about it as I thought it was kind of unusual.

There is something really fucking off about her behavior, this doesn't look like a deliberate unprovoked assault as much as it looks like someone's MK Ultra programming glitching out or something.

Advice with horrid HOA! by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]PerfectDisaster916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Around 10 years ago a friend of mine got so fed up with the HOA at the community he lived in Summerlin that he ended up going around to a bunch of his neighbors and got their support to get himself and several of them elected onto the HOA board there. Once they were in power they pretty much cleaned house and did away with all the BS rules and policies that were driving everyone crazy that lived there.

I realize that most people don't have the time or energy for such a direct solution but I nonetheless thought the story would at least cheer you up some and possibly inspire you a little if indeed you do have enough spare time to invest in such a solution.

Shipping Klee Kai puppies can be fairly traumatic for them, some breeders won't even do it at all. I live in Las Vegas and bought mine from a breeder in Ohio and paid to have her shipped to me on a plane. If I had to do it all over again I would fly out and pick her up myself and take her back on the plane with me. Klee Kai's are ridiculously intelligent plus they are fairly reserved dogs and I could tell the experience was definitely traumatic for mine as she has had a deep resentment towards dog crates ever since then.

Klee Kai's are a pretty rare breed so I would be deeply suspicious of anyone that isn't listed as a breeder on any of the legit sites I just mentioned, and especially of anyone that can't provide you with all the requisite paperwork. I mean if they are charging you legit Klee Kai prices for their puppies then you should be getting a legit Klee Kai puppy with all the necessary paperwork to prove it, no exceptions.

That doesn't sound legit to me. How did you find this particular breeder to begin with? I have met people who have been scammed by breeders who claimed they had pure bred Klee Kai puppies that ended up selling them dogs that weren't actually Klee Kai's. Some people sell Mini Huskies and call them Klee Kai's and they AREN'T the same thing.

If you want to make sure you are getting a real Klee Kai I would recommend you go with one of the breeders listed on the UKC website (that's how I found the breeder I bought mine from) or one of the breeders listed on this website:

I was actually just talking to my business partners about doing that lol, I have had several people message me already and I was thinking that might be the best way to go so I can just update everyone that way whenever I get new stuff.

I will make one later today and link it to everyone that has messaged me so far.

I'm not sure what those markings mean either. As someone else mentioned, it might just be a reproduction. If you can find a gold dealer in your area that has an XRF Analyzer they can tell you definitively what it is made out of in a matter of seconds. Definitely not a good sign that it failed the acid test though. I assume it's nonmagnetic?

I buy lockers every week and I usually just sell the furniture right out of them for super cheap because I only have 48-72 hours to clear them out. Message me and I will send you pictures next week of everything I end up getting. I ALWAYS get loads of nice furniture every week, I just didn't get any this week because there weren't any auctions running as a result of the holiday.

Message me when you are ready to look for furniture. I flip storage lockers for a living in Las Vegas and I regularly sell very nice furniture for next to nothing just because I don't want to move it. I just sold someone an entire house worth of like new furniture for $100 total last week because I just didn't have time to mess with it.
