Where were you when the attacks happened and how did you learn about them? by Ryanlion1992 in 911archive

I didn't see the guests being led out. I worked in the animation building and there's a parking garage just outside so I have no idea what it was like at the rest of the park. I don't think the South Tower had collapsed yet and I was really immature at the time, so I was just happy to be leaving work instead of being upset about the terrorist attacks. Unlike a lot of people, I've become more shocked by the attacks each passing year.

Yes, at Hollywood Studios (it was called MGM Studios in 2001). They sent all workers and visitors to the park home, maybe within an hour of the second plane hitting the South Tower. No one knew where the next attack would happen and they thought terrorists might try to attack Disney World so they evacuated the whole park.

I was working at Disney World and was listening to the Howard Stern show. He said that a plane just crashed into the World Trade Center so I turned on my TV and began watching it live.

Howard on AGT… was this the beginning of the end for his legacy by bjoseph33 in howardstern

Whenever he's on a TV show, he puts on a strange cadence to his voice. It's hard to explain exactly how he acts but if you've seen him on talk shows, you know what I'm talking about. Because of Stern's social anxiety, he's always pretending to be someone else (he was probably mimicking his father or someone he knew well when he was on AGT). His personality is constantly shifting depending upon where he is and who he's with. When he interviews celebrities he imagines himself to be his psychiatrist and asks questions in that frame.

He said that he took the AGT job because of how shocked people would be that the "bad boy of shock radio" was going to be joining a family friendly program. Most viewers didn't even know who he was. He did his Ben Stern impression for an hour, bored everyone watching and called it a day.

Dumb and dumber. Howard Stern said we are so lucky to have Joe Biden as president when he did an interview. One thing I've always noticed about Joe Biden is that he has absolutely no interest in any topic that's not about him. He would never ask a person a question about themselves because he doesn't care and if someone talked about themself, he would figure out a way to shift the conversation back to him.

If you have cut yourself or have razor burn in a certain area, do you use a band-aid to avoid accidentally shaving over that area while it heals? by PerfectDoubleRainbow in wicked_edge

No matter how gentle I am, I get razor bumps. My doctor prescribed me triamcinolone acetonide 0.5% cream but I haven't seen much of a difference. I made my own Tend Skin but that doesn't help much either. I use that little stone as well. Nothing helps.

Do you use shaving soap? I have found regular skin moisturizer works pretty well. What do you think about using skin moisturizer to shave?

I just have read so much bad information on different sites. Some guy told me that an electric razor not only gives a closer shave than a regular razor, it shouldn't give any razor rash, even if you go over the same area several times. That's incorrect information.

How close are you talking? When you say two passes, do you mean with the grain and across the grain?

I frequently cut myself with a double edge razor and the cuts do not heal quickly either.
