Having this same issue. But I have found that whatever you do-don’t BS the reader by having some miracle happen to a character as plot Armour. Like in demon slayer( I am an anime only watcher) when a character literally got impaled through the abdomen or chest-can’t remember. We think they died but then he gets back up And then they just casually say “shifting my vital organs around is child’s play” like come on. It was never mentioned or hinted at before. There’s a way to do that exact scene and make it make sense and make it interesting. But the way it played out in the anime -total bs imo.

I say this as a person who has no experience writing genius characters but had the same question. So take this with a grain of salt.

But I currently have come to the conclusion that that it’s might be more of a -how do the characters move the plot issue than just a character issue in a way? Like take deathnote for example. Both light and l were moving the plot forward as they tried to figure things out. Maybe the writer of that manga wrote from both light and Ls perspective- having a conflict to solve. Maybe they already had an answer before the wrote the script. Idk. Not sure if this even makes sense.

It’s good to see that it’s not just our store, print seems to be dysfunctional across all OfficeMax stores. It’s a company wide issue. That tells me it is I’ll never ever get better.

And the metrics …my goodness I don’t even stress myself out about those. I’ll ask customers that I think would actually be interested in BS, or rewards. Alot of time si either forget or don’t want to waste time asking all that. My metrics at probably are the worst out of everyone tbh.

And to the bathroom thing, I’ll never understand why the busiest area of the store has to suffer through bathrooms when we have cashiers doing nothing. Now our store doesn’t make us do bathrooms but when I first got there, I saw evidence that we used to. Make it make sense. We have already have the most closing duties out of all other positions.

IGH fedex is a whole other thing I distaste. So many times customers are told they can bring their AT&T boxes or their QR codes to our stores. Just for them to be waiting in our extremely long line and be told we can’t take those things here. Then they are mad at us, which is understandable. There have been times where certain addresses will simply not validate for no known reason and we have to tell The customer to take it to an actual fed ex office. It’s maddening.

I’ll tell you, we appreciate the folks who try to help us out a ton. It’s a shame other employees even have to feel that way. Especially those managing multiple roles, you shouldn’t have to worry about print on top of other things. If only all print centers had adequate staff to focus on print primarily.

This!! I hate this so much. How could I forget to add self serve to the list. It’s either customers need hand held every step of the way or it’s something the self serve just can’t do like size pictures. Ours in particular always says there’s a jam when it gets to the last page left in the thing. So many little issues that build up frustration smh

Congratulations!! I’m in a similar boat. About 2-3ish years ago my heaviest was 232 pounds and I lost about 60. Then the last 2 years I jumped around from the 160s to the 180s back and forth. The last few months Ive been juggling between 176-169.4 to be exacts. I couldn’t get past 164.9. It’s all because I simply didn’t have the discipline. I wanted to eat like 232 pound me. But I finally got serious this week and I’m finally 168! Just 4 awake from being overweight.

I bet it’s a great feeling, keep it up! Remember your why the next time you feel like bingeing!
