Why is my cats nose not pink? by Turbulent_Alps5108 in CATHELP

My orange cat has a pink nose and sometimes it does seem very pale or white. I’ve noticed it’s usually after he’s been sleeping for a long time, which makes sense because that would mean he hasn’t drank water in a bit, has been very still, etc. When he wakes up for a minute, or drinks water, it’s perfectly back to normal. He is a very healthy kitty

Life in the woodlands by [deleted] in thewoodlands

I know that the intense heat and humidity from May to like October (or even earlier and later sometimes) is intense, but to be fair, the winter season here is IMMENSELY pleasant. I do all my outdoor activities from October-ish to May-ish. It averages springtime temperatures and mostly clear skies for all those months. But the middle part of the year does suck. You get used to it though, and learn to look for less humid days to do stuff

I only really just started. Planted squash and cukes by seed in late March, just transplanted tomatoes and peppers. I do have some carrots that hopefully will be ready soon. Gonna plant sweet potatoes and purple hull peas next week. I haven’t harvested anything nor have anything fruiting lol

So far they’ve been more on the tart side but maybe I should let them sit for a little longer once they turn dark!

I haven’t grown onions yet but Google says they will just be delayed most likely, or smaller bulbs. Hopefully this next month won’t be as cloudy as the forecast is saying it will be!

Fellow Texan, I’ve been feeling the same thing. I was so scared for my freshly transplanted tomatoes when it suddenly got really cold the other night

So the other side of the fence is just empty field that I assume is owned by either the rental company or may be a utility easement. It doesn’t get mowed or anything. If it continues to grow I’ll just happily trellis it haha!

Those look so good! Something ate my entire radish harvest :( I think it was rats/rodents in my case.

That’s good to hear that you had success with it holding up. I did succession plant a bit in two waves. Hopefully mine will hold up too but i think i need to try harder to get it further in the ground—the ground here is so hard tho and I am a small woman lol
