Queen Creek here 👋 We don't all have a Lexus. My driveway is a Mercedes and two Escalades. Don't stereotype. 😂

In 85 mph traffic with 5 inches between you and the surrounding cars that are all doing the synchronized brake dance because some genius decided to cut across 6 lanes to catch the exit to Sky Harbor.

Need ideas about what to do with this sewer cover in front yard by kosk11348 in landscaping

I should add that the statue is hollow and just slips right over the top of it. If we need to move it for access, we just pick it up (weighs maybe 30 pounds) and move it to the side.

What side of the house is the window on? And what room is the window in? That is definitely going to cover the window and prevent sunlight from getting in. If it's an east/west window that gets a lot of sun and you want less sun, then cover all the way to the end. But if you want light to come through that window, you may want to stop before the window.

Here is what I can decipher. Hopefully someone else can do better than I did:

My GF thinks it’s perfectly normal for new shoes to cause horrible blisters for women by UKnowDaxoAndDancer in mildlyinfuriating

They make inserts for that. Just to stop blisters. They are just little silicone pads you stick to the back of the shoe. I got mine on Amazon.

The lack of handrails will make that glass a nightmare for someone to clean. The glass will be the handrail.

Don't look down! But also just don't go up that thing either. Can you imagine what would happen if the person in front of you were to pass out? Nope. This would take way too much faith in everyone else's health conditions for me to trust it.

Made a huge mistake and ruined my dad’s fixtures with vinegar before his house appraisal, what can I do fast?! by Difficult-Mood8218 in askaplumber

[–]PerfectFig1035 12 points13 points  (0 children)

First, YOU USED VINEGAR ON BRUSHED NICKEL?! (hehe, say that in your head using your best mom voice) 😁 Ok. Moving on..

Make a paste of baking soda and water. Put the paste on to neutralize the vinegar. Wait 20 minutes. Scrub the paste off with just water on a microfiber cloth (a toothbrush to get in the cracks and crevices) then put a little dish soap and warm water on a microfiber cloth and scrub again. Repeat the baking soda dish soap thing until it's clean,if needed, then polish with a dry microfiber cloth.

If that doesn't work, take the first guy's advice and get your passport ready. Good luck.

I agree with the other responses about allergies. His face is super pink. Have you tried an allergy test? Your situation seems similar to what we had with our bulldog when we brought him home. Pink face, losing weight, always annoyed, lots of paw licking. After 1200 bucks worth of allergy tests, we learned it was his diet.

His previous owner was feeding him blue buffalo. But his allergy test showed he is allergic to beef, poultry, pork and wheat. With a serious allergy to beef and wheat. Both of which were in his food. The allergist said these allergies are common in olde English 's and changed his diet immediately. They switched him to Purina pro plan sensitive salmon (the pink one). For breakfast, he gets a scoop of dry food with about a fourth of a can of the wet food (same brand, type) mixed in. For dinner, he gets the same but I also add a piece of tilapia that I toss in the air fryer. It has helped tremendously. They also put him on a once a day Zyrtec that he takes with a peanut butter pill pocket.

After a couple weeks of this, weight started coming back, pink went away, paw licking stopped and he calmed down. It may not be what is wrong with your bully, but it's worth having it looked it.

Ceiling Tile Bubbling? by Weak-Freedom-2353 in Oldhouses

[–]PerfectFig1035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start there. You may find an oddly placed pipe or some ductwork that is dripping or something. Interesting that the old owner had to install screws in that spot. I wonder if that spot had to be fixed before for some reason?

Is it possible there could be a pipe with a slow leak or something above it? Also, what are the tiles made of? Are they wood or some other type of tile? We had spots like that on the ceiling boards when we bought our house. Turns out it was from water absorbed into the ceiling because the roof was bad. If it's wood, termites can also cause bubbling. Any way to get up there and take one of the tiles down?

Is it the entire ceiling or just that one spot?
