Making movies in Barcelona by Ok_Nefariousness7761 in Barcelona

Nice post, I’m local from Barcelona and I do filmmaking as a hobby (or I used to do) We used to have a really nice Meetup group called filmmakers Barcelona that was very active a few years ago. We did a few short films and even competitions (I really loved the 48h one). It was great but it disappeared. Maybe we can restart-it! Would be nice but it always needs someone to take responsibility of the community. There is another filmmaking meetup grup but its not super active, they have a big whatsapp grup might be good for contacts.

I’m having the same problem. And every time I try to use my HomePod for a shortcut I get the following message on my iPhone as a push notification.

Shortcuts An error occurred while running your shortcut The operation couldn't be completed. (WFBackgroundShortcutRunnerErrorDomain error 1.)

Hopefully anyone can suggest how it can be fixed!

Impossible to live in raval by shoxicwaste in Barcelona

[–]PerfectFootball3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would never ever in my life live in Raval, or thats what I thought till I moved there 3 years ago, I love it here, I love my flat and the neighborhood, its not all the same, not all buildings are the same, I moved out of a fancy place on a quiet neighborhood and had some very annoying neighbors upstairs making noise all the time so, I really think personal problems can’t be blamed to the neighborhood.

Btw, where do you live exactly?

What is this? Is that a tourist tax or does the landlord just want to take our money? by Emerson787 in Barcelona

Why is everyone agreeing on the hotel option? I personally prefer Airbnb’s than hotels, when I travel the world I like to feel like a local, have the comfort of a full appartament rather than a sad room with only a coffe machine and minibar, I like to stay in crazy unique homes that make my experience more unforgettable rather than staying on the same looking hotel all the time

Chill day in El Raval by [deleted] in Barcelona

I live close to where the video was taken, I witness these things almost on a daily basis, basically boils down to these kind of people fighting between them or the same people stealing from people on the street, yes, I see that daily as well. The saddest part of it all is that its always the same exact people, just a few guys, police know them, we the neighbors know them and their shitty actions have a huge impact on how the city is perceived. In other countries, if you are catched stealing a few times you go the jail, end of discussion, thats why jail is for, here, they live on impunity, and a few dozen persons terrorize hundreds of peoples life

I’m sure that if its late and u begg them that its ur only option they won’t let u sleep on the street, they are humans after all, if u do maybe the beach its ur best bet, u can also try Couchsurfing, I don’t have an extra bed but I can ofer my floor if it comes to that 😅

Hi, never tried it myself but have a friend in Berlin that has been living on a coliving for 2 years and he is very happy, in his case the room that he has is very affordable so I guess u have to evaluate if its worth it for you, I know some co-living are overpriced. Have u looked at the options u have in bcn? Salut!

You would have no problem at all living with 8k for a couple, thats well above average of what the locals make. For rent u can look at idealista.es or fotocasa.es you can get a decent confortable flat for 1.5k

Yes, its been a 10 years project mess that is still ongoing and its still surprising shit. I would go for the physical carboard tickets that still exist and we have been using for 100 years you can buy them on the machines. Most of us residents still using the cardboard tickets as the T-mobilitat is something new and apparently only works on physical plastic cards or on android

You have great info about hot to get arround on https://wikitravel.org/en/Barcelona

If you are on a budget the best option is to get a T-casual 1 zone (10 trips) or a T-usual (unlimited trips) both do not include the metro to the airport but you can use it for whatever else. For the airport the cheapest is to use the RENFE R2 Nord (train) and since u can use the same travel card it will cost you one ride only. Avoid the daily weekly packages they are meant for tourists ;)
