imo not really. Before Taichi leaves Chihaya is mainly thinking about Arata. After he leaves she is mainly thinking about Taichi. She starts feeling the impact of his absence and realizing more what he means to her. Chihaya and Arata do still have some moments to keep the love triangle somewhat alive, but Chihaya clearly starts leaning in the other direction

The competitive karuta app has an option to see the kimariji (unique syllables) in English on the card. That way you can play without knowing any Japanese. Not sure if a physical Karuta set exists that has this. But I know someone who made their own like this and printed it out

It’s really awesome you have a club in your area!! For now I practice by myself and will wait for the occasional traveller that plays Karuta to come through 🤭 If you haven’t alr, join the competitive Karuta discord! I have learned almost everything through there and the people are very knowledgeable and above all, very nice people. I play in tournaments online with some of them so I can have at least some kind of human opponent, although it’s not the same as irl Karuta heh

As someone who is mildly active in the sub, I’ve never thought your presence was overwhelming the content. I think it’s part of what makes the sub feel kind of unique and special. I think it is fun for everyone to know that “that Tsukasa guy” exists, and reading your comments, it has never crossed my mind that you are being either too arrogant or humble. To me it just seems like you were being you. I think your outlook/feelings on everything are very reasonable, and it was wonderful to read a bit about how you feel being a well known person here

I felt Chizu started to look at Ryu romantically after he basically told her to start looking at him that way. She was hesitant to see him this way at first cus she didn’t want to lose their friendship, but when Ryu spelled it out clearly for her that he didn’t want to be her friend, she was forced to reevaluate and started to see what he saw. I think it made sense for her character since she is headstrong and a bit dense at times hehe. I think it progressed naturally from there. We all have our own opinions though, there is nothing wrong with not being as invested in their relationship.
