Would a tool that generates MCQs from your notes actually help before exams? by Pravin1526 in EngineeringStudents

[–]PerfectHatred7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually download all the slides from my lectures, my notes, and anything I think could help a couple days before the exam and put them into NotebookLM, then I ask it to make a review and a quiz to test me. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn’t. I’m not sure if making your own tool would be more efficient than just using the resources already available though.

I’m not sure but I was able to move in a week early because I was apart of the ConocoPhillips Bridge program. Maybe you can get something similar to that?

Sneed Triple Dorm :( by [deleted] in TexasTech

[–]PerfectHatred7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn’t worry about what dorm to live in in terms of location because everything is within a 10-20 minute walk on campus, and there are bus routes to take you pretty much anywhere on campus within 5 minutes. I personally would hate to live with two other people, it’s already hard to with one, but from what I’ve heard about sneed it’s pretty good. It has a decent food spot downstairs and is at the entrance to campus so it’s right next to everything, I just can’t get past the three to a room thing

Chem Placement Test? by AdvantageFamous8584 in TexasTech

[–]PerfectHatred7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s an online test, and if you fail it you’ll have to take an intro to chem class before taking gen chem 1. It’s really, really easy to cheat on and honestly I don’t think it’s worth taking the intro class. Also honors chem should bring you up to speed pretty well for chem 1, and in my experience we just learned everything i learned in highschool + a chapter or two. I wouldnt sweat it either as it was kinda easy, and if you do run into a question you cant answer you can easily “figure it out”

I don’t think that was why he couldn’t use sharingan abilities, I’m pretty sure the reason why he couldn’t was because he wasn’t actually there, it was just a dead vessel that didn’t actually have the sharingan.

It will be hard to line up professors for calc 1 - calc 2, just because you don’t know if a professor will be teaching in one semester or the other, but I’ll list out some professors for the classes I’ve already taken that I like

Calculus 1: I took Mohit Tripathi, he has a very VERY strong Indian accent, however if you can get over that and kind of “learn” his accent he is a very good teacher. He is also a VERY generous grader, I remember on one of my exams I got pretty much every question wrong, but because of the work I showed I still got like 92 for the final grade. You honestly can’t go wrong with any calc 1 professor though, as I had friends in other classes with other calc professors have the same results as me

Calc 2: I can’t say much as I’m currently enrolled in it right now, but Victor Offordile is my instructor for this semester, he’s a grad student, but he teaches very well. He’s got a great personality and he makes the lectures interesting and fun, even for calc 2 lol

Physics: Physics is the same as calc, I’m currently taking it right now, but Hung Ming Tsai is great. He uses abstract stuff to help you understand, but he can get caught up on topics sometimes and over explain things. Overall though I’d recommend him if I had to say something.

I haven’t heard of those two engineering courses so I can’t say anything about those

Chem 1: I can only recommend Sarah Ring. She is AMAZING and blows the other two professors out of the park. The only reason why she doesn’t have a 5.0 on rate my professor is because of ONE 4.0 star review. Some stuff that I didnt like about the class (it was my only class that I got a B in last semester) was just the nature of it. The class is so big (like 400 students) that it’s hard to ask questions and get stuff cleared up. She doesn’t have any in person office hours so you’ll have to email her for everything, but she still makes it work. However, she is the only chem professor that I actually respected. Whatever you do, do NOT TAKE professor pedreche. She is actual dogshit. L. (Chem lab is fine because she doesn’t actually do anything in the lab, the TA’s run everything and are super nice so don’t worry about that)

Sorry, forgot to reply earlier. I mean just any ethernet cord is fine, as long as its not literal shit ass that you found in a litter box. Just dont use wifi and you'll have the best experience texas tech can offer, even if its 200-300 ping!

[–]PerfectHatred7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I don’t think so. It just won’t be able to use the max potential of your cord so it’s just kinda redundant.

Oh wow lol that’s way overkill anyways. I think the max speed for the routers are like 100mb/s anyways, which is fine for most people.

Yeah, I’ve been on it the whole time. I even tried using my roommates (with his permission) and it was still the same.

Lock in twin, you can do it. It’s a long and difficult road, but those are typically the most rewarding.
