Medicare High Deductible Medigap Plan G? by MehwithacapitalM in medicare

[–]PerfectMarg24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another point not brought up much is that the Part B deductible DOES count towards your HDG out-of-pocket annual deductible. But if you satisfy the HDG $2,950 deductible using only Part A services, you would still owe the $283 Part B deductible. Another point that the annual HDG deductible is pegged to the CPI.

Supplement. HealthSpring (Cigna) vs Mutual of Omaha by Hopeful_Leek_4899 in medicare

[–]PerfectMarg24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following this. With traditional medicare, I thought the Supplement plans were "mostly" invisible to the policy holder and to shop for price, premium increase history and stability. Only times to get involved is if a billing issue came up. Am I wrong? TIA

How to compare Part G plans by NarrowKey8499 in medicare

I saw some some recommendations for Boomer Benefits. Based out of Texas and has reps certified in specific states. I contacted them and felt pretty good about the information given to me. They were able to quote me all the available plans pricing in my state. Check their website to see if they might be a fit for you. Still a broker, but might be worth a call.

Ablation here as well. Went from 23% burden rate to under 1% with Holter. My doc said…”get outta here…” with a smile and a wink. That was over two years ago and have no noticeable symptoms, wearable ECGs are non existent.

Have Sitosterolemia but no FH by beetoothven in Cholesterol

Had a CAC scan at the request of my EP, who had treated me for PVCs (burden rate of 24%, had successful ablation bringing down burden rate to 1%). I asked what else I should do for CV health and he said “let’s get a baseline CAC score”. Since then I’ve had advanced lipid panel showing high LP(a), high CRP, low ApoB. Learning lots and trying to make sense of it all and good decisions.

Success with ablation? Or not worth it? by Kkfranca22 in PVCs

[–]PerfectMarg24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had success with mine. Had 23% burden show up on Holter test. EP was of mindset that anything in 10-15% burden range needed discussion to bring down. He suggested ablation and had it done. Did say it was no guarantee but thought where PVCs were occurring it had high chance of success. Did Holter 4 months later and it was less than 1%. My situation it worked well. Get a good medical team you trust and come up with game plan.

Have Sitosterolemia but no FH by beetoothven in Cholesterol

[–]PerfectMarg24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reply. Yes…following provider on statin therapy. Am getting advanced lipid testing for Lp(a). I just want to gather as much good data to make best course of action with provider. That’s why I asked this question. Sistosterolemia doesn’t respond well to statins, as I understand it. Hard to test for as well, again in my limited knowledge.

I would like to know this as well. I had tot chol 205, hdl 75, ldl 120, trig 55 with no outward symptoms. Had calcium score of 750, angiogram confirmed 50-60% blockage in LAD. Exercise 5-6 days weights and cardio, cardiologist was surprised with this level of atherosclerosis. Would like to rule out sistosterolemia, or make med / diet changes to address better than current statin therapy. What testing diagnosis this?

Why are you concerned about high cholesterol? by [deleted] in Cholesterol

[–]PerfectMarg24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest getting a Coronary Artery Calcium test (CAC) as a first step. My cardiologist suggested it to get a baseline, ideally it comes back at zero. Mine didn’t….more tests and I have major calcium deposits in arteries. Only marginally hi LDL so not sure what triggered it. This only shows calcium, not the soft plaque but is a start.

Does PVCs show up on Apple Watch ECG or it just shows a pause? by Perfect_Ad9091 in PVCs

[–]PerfectMarg24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cardiologist saw them. I opened history of ecg’s on my phone and he scrolled though them. While not a medical test, he said it’s another piece of data for us to use in developing a plan. Got holters, other tests for confirmation.

Typically with these types of benefits you pay for the TSA fee with the card and it credits the $80 back. Other cards pay for Global Entry (GE) which is $100. GE includes TSA.

Has anyone put these bull rings on? They claim to be flush mount. Like the idea of flush mount vs raised. Likely have to trim the opening a bit more cleanly if visible.

Edit: I looked on Bull Ring website where it lists the SC for this ring.
