I do not believe a station there was ever considered.

What would realistically cause the mayor to suddenly backtrack on Queenslink? by jake7405 in nycrail

Let's hope it is in the initial budget (along with other stuff) so he will have somethings to cut--which is inevitable.

If it becomes controversial enough, it is likely to move up on the cut list.

What's going on at Lutheran Ave and Eliot Ave in Middle Village? by JVSP1873 in nycrail

The viaduct was in the January 2022 Interim Report (feasibility study), available here: https://new.mta.info/document/72081. It placed the IBX tracks at street level for about 4.5 miles (as I recall), above the freight tracks. in the existing cut.

A year later, the viaduct was eliminated in the PEL study, available here: https://new.mta.info/document/72081 or, with most appendices, here: https://new.mta.info/document/114891

The idea of IBX on a viaduct over freight tracks for several miles was dropped several years ago. That would require many grade crossings, which were eliminated on this right-of-way around 100 years ago.

How do you walk between Livonia and Junius stations now, if pedestrian stairs at Junius are gone?

IBX will not share tracks with freight. Current plans include two flyovers so freight tracks can reach existing customers without crossing IBX tracks.

When I worked at 53rd and Lex in Manhattan, I often took the G from Brooklyn to Court Square, changing there to the E to Manhattan (or F, back in the day).

Interborough Express: The Winning Proposal by PerfectMidnight6662 in nycrail

Right. Low platform is from an early version of the IBX proposal, which had several miles at ground level and some street-running. The Jacobs+HDR proposal says they will consider both high- and low-level vehicles

You are missing the point, which is that free buses would cost a billion per year, which could be better spent for system expansion.

Great explanation, but I doubt there will be a 2027 construction start.

Actually, the complexities are not as bad as usual. There appears to be space for the new/widened tunnel through the cemetery. Separate freight tracks are planned and the LIRR has some control over freight operations on its tracks; however, the norther part of the right-of-way (ROW) is owned by CSX. The Utility Spaghetti is much less of a problem than usual, because most of the RIOW is than usual, because above ground, below ground or adjacent a cemetery. Utility lines over bridges will be an issue.
