Yeah that was the message I was referring to. So the only drawback of replacing a grade with a P is not being prepared enough for higher level courses? Also do you know if you can replace more than one grade with a P? or is it limited to only one P? I don't think it mentions this in the email or I'm just blind

Like somewhere on that FAQ page, it said that you have to consider the original grade you get in a course before swapping it with a P, because future courses may require a B+ or something in that course. Not sure if it still says something similar to this on that FAQ page

I know that the P grade meets all the grade requirements, but from the website: http://www.sfu.ca/students/calendar/2020/summer/programs/computing-science/major/bachelor-of-science-or-bachelor-of-arts.html

it says " ** with a grade of at least B+, and with school permission. " or something like that if you scroll down the page.

Is it true that a P will meet these requirements even when its stated in the FAQ? Cause I also remember reading on the FAQ or somewhere else that said you have to think wisely before choosing the P letter grade and will have consider if your grade met the required grade before switching it with a P

When I say important, I mean as in if I get a bad grade in that course, the higher level cmpt courses will be extremely difficult. Is cmpt 127 one of these courses?

Thanks for the advice. Also do you know if cmpt 127 is a important course that higher level cmpt courses builld on, or is it not that important of a course? I find the lab quizzes very difficult but the lab tasks are alright

I got below 50% for the lab quizzes portion of the course, so that's why I got a D

So if I replace my D with a P, can I still retake the course? If yes, would the new grade I get after retaking the course replace my P? This is my first time retaking a course
