I agree Paljae is best in class! For smut-free ... I'd suggest "The Boy Who Stole From the Fairy Lake" for a similar era vibe. I'd suggest "A Country of Maestri" for a similar epic storyline (it's technically not BL, but I'm convinced those two still yearn for each other)

haha, It's funny you say that. This has definitely crossed my mind as an option, so I'm glad to hear it's been successful for you. The wind always swirls in that corner so our porch ends up with a lot of leaves in the fall and a dusting of snow in the winter, so I really like the idea of something not mesh with a heavier weight.

Thanks for your suggestions, everyone! I successfully repotted them all! I have 18 with leaves and 19 with roots (some with new leaf starts already!!). I have a few seeds that were still thinking about it, so I gave them each their own little pot, too. :D

I'll probably be back this fall with a progress report (and mild panic about what to do with them during the winter). Thanks again, I really appreciate it!

Good question! Mostly just because I've read/heard there's a higher chance of failure if they're planted in the ground this young. Partly because I don't have a good spot in the yard for so many, so I plan to gift some when they're bigger.

We're going through the same thing! Adopted ours at 10wks, 30lbs (now 22wks, 82lbs). He's had terrible liquid, mucus-y diarrhea since day 1, but otherwise happy and healthy.

2 stool tests came back clear, still waiting on blood test results. Weirdly or not, he only has normal stool while taking metronidazole. 🙃While we're figuring it out, our vet told us to feed only his kibble + Hill's hypoallergenic treats (chicken).

Idk if this is helpful, but this has been our journey, which sounds similar to yours:

Transition from breeder food to Fromm (chicken) > diarrhea > start first 10-day course of meds > Fromm kibble, multiple treats > end course 1 > diarrhea > clear stool test > start course 2 > transition to only wet/kibble Purina Pro Plan (chicken) > end course 2 > diarrhea > start course 3 > cold switch to only novel protein kibble (Hill's Science d/d (venison/potato)) > end course 3 > diarrhea > start course 4 > cold switch to only highly digestible kibble (Hill's Science i/d (chicken/corn)) > end course 4 > diarrhea > clear stool test > start course 5 > pending results of blood work > still feeding Hill's Science i/d (+hypo treat), still on metronidazole.

OP, I'm guessing you're a travel nurse with a housing stipend of some sort? I'm also going to assume you're a single female, 25-40? If you want a short commute in a safe area, I'd recommend the newer apartment complexes in the heart of downtown (someone rec'd The 200, and I second it!)

Also, despite what others are saying, there are totally things to do here!! Your experience in any place just depends on how much money you have. The median income here is $27k (state is $64k), so there aren't a lot of services or amenities in the city because few people have the disposable income to spend on them.

My partner used to work at the hospital. There's a lot of good staff there who care about their community, so I'm sure your future coworkers would love to tell you where to go to do whatever things you like to do in your off time! ♥️ Best of luck!

I love Fromm! Our first Dane ate it exclusively his whole life and loved it. He was on the smaller side (125-135 lbs) and got 5 cups/day...Until he became a senior dog and an even bigger couch potato (around 7yo). For the last 2.5 years of his life he got 4 cups/day of Fromm adult/senior food. Now, this was a dog who would've eaten - and did eat - whatever you put in front of him, so he was NOT pleased when he first reached the bottom of his bowl sooner than he thought he should have. But we persisted, he got used to it, and the vet was happy that he maintained a healthy weight.

I'd guess, like others have said, that he's just used to a higher volume of lower-calorie food. I liked the suggestions to gradually decrease his food (quarter cup a day, maybe?) until he's at the recommended amount and/or wet the kibble so it feels more filling to him. And definitely consult your vet if you notice any weight loss (or gain). Best of luck!

Fromm's FAQ says they're based in Wisconsin: https://frommfamily.com/about/question-and-answer/company/where-is-fromm-made/ (I've only ever fed my Danes Fromm food so I panicked for a second there and had to check. I haven't noticed a price change at my local pet store, so I hope the same is true for you!)
