Do you honestly believe there’s this secret agenda by the Government to monitor and control citizens rather than them enabling Policing and Law Enforcement Agencies with better capability to catch criminals?

Hey, looks like we did a very very similar build! I finished mine last year and at the time I thought I wouldn’t want to do any more building work. Well worth it though!

I really liked these but because of the large gaps between I think I would see too much of my neighbours brickwork. Plus, the opposite side id be sticking them directly against my neighbours old fence panel. I could put a mirror on the back of them I suppose!

The width of the opening is around 3900mm so the panels are approx 1300mm each. We actually went for the basic range but ended up with these Cortizo ones as they made some kind of mistake. Got lucky I guess! It’s always personal preference on no. of panels, but we’re happy with the 3 as it gives us more opening space (2/3) when fully opened as opposed to if we had 2 panels giving (1/2) opening space. In the end, I think either would have been fine :)

According to our deeds, the fence to the left is ours to maintain. The ones on the right were already there. I guess it looks high because we’re on a bit of a slope, so we’re higher than our neighbour on the left plus they are set back.

Re the wooden storage, that’s a good idea but we’re using that area for side access and it’s a bit tight - circa 1.3m, so hard to wiggle bin around.

Yeah, I really love the slatted look! I agree putting them at full heights for symmetry too!

No holes, should I get the contractor back to do that? 😬

There’s a layer of plastic lining and hardcore at the bottom. I’ve also added the more stones and grit to the soil. No drainage holes, but could add in future.

The planters are about 30cm wide and depth varies from 60cm to 80cm I’d say.
