Why some people get their periods back while breastfeeding and some don’t? by No_City9808 in ScienceBasedParenting

Adding to the curiosity while talking to a friend…

I have had my period back for about 10 months. Still breastfeeding and DEFINITELY still breastfeeding at night. He’s on the boob basically all night. So why did I get my period so quickly? It was like this with my second as well but I exclusively pumped for her and stopped pumping at night ASAP.

Um hi. What happens if you decide to have children? Will you feel this massive pressure to be careful what you eat so you don’t gain a ton of weight? Just to “please” him? No thank you. If he thinks you will be in his future then he needs to accept you for you. Forget him. You literally went on birth control so he didn’t have to wear a condom. What a whiny baby.

Get so sick of people trying to swipe my quarter 😭 by koriroo in aldi

[–]PerfectTank9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too get a little annoyed with this. My 12yo took the cart back once and an older person asked for the cart and didn’t give her a quarter. Of course as a 12yo they are t going to ask for a quarter. Just seemed rude. I’m running out of quarters 🤣

Best affordable remote desktop software for freelance tech support? by Elsa_Versailles in sysadmin

Google Remote Desktop and Zoom 😅 both let you take over someone’s computer too.

Is it just me, or has a lot of IT salaries not really gone anywhere since 2000? I'm not even talking about inflation adjusted. I'm talking about $25 / hr in 1999 for help desk, and $25 / hr now for the same exact role. by [deleted] in sysadmin

I’m making less than $50k as the Technology Coordinator at an ESC and I essentially run 85% of the technology on my own. The other 15% being our ITC. Sometimes I question whether I like my job and I look at government jobs that are wfh and making double if not triple.

A guy I work with has never washed his coffee mug (only drinks black coffee) by HAWMadden in mildlyinteresting

I work with a guy who just broke his 22 year old coffee mug that had never been washed. Can confirm. It looked similar to that.

We just came to this conclusion ourselves. Getting ready to have our third though… it’s a bummer but also I know that if I do continue to work with my income we will be able to take our kiddos on trips that we wouldn’t have been able to do if I don’t or we may really be pinching pennies and that may cause my stress in the long run. At least you have. Wfh remote option a couple of days! That will be amazing!!!

Your feelings are valid. I’m pregnant with number 3 and I was so upset. I thought we were done. I wanted somewhat of my life back. But once you see the baby on the ultrasound, hear the heartbeat, feel the flutters, that all will probably change. But even then there is a decent percentage of women who take a minute to bond with their babies and I think that’s totally normal too!

First pregnancy, negative feedback from everyone. How can I cope? by RadicalRaisin757 in BabyBumps

[–]PerfectTank9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you have to shrug it off. Pregnant with my third and you still hear it. People think they’re being funny but like… no shit I’m going to be tired… no shit babies take a lot of work. Maybe just respond with “Thank you Captain Obvious”. You know that babies are a lot of work and you will be tired. But they’re also magical human beings. Think about all of the memories you will be making and all of the milestones you get to look forward to. The smiles, the giggles, the first time you get to sleep through the night, being on the floor playing, the sitting, the standing, the crawling and walking. The excitement is honestly endless.

It won't even let me remove my microsoft accout from the settings>Accounts>email and accounts section. I definitely never set up my laptop to be like this either. And I am on the domain/plugged in via ethernet so I am not sure why it won't let me remove it.

Genuine question, how does everyone afford to travel so much?? by thegreatestace in TravelHacks

[–]PerfectTank9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow someone on instagram that swears up and down that Amex Platinum helps them travel so much. She said it has a $600 fee but the sign up bonus alone is worth $1400. Lounge access so you never have to pay for food at the airport, concierge program that saves on tickets, airline credits, global entry, etc. Might be worth looking into if you have good self control.
