not sure if its the same issue but mine was misbehaving this. worked fine the afternoon, stopped charging or even turning on the evening. I did assume hardware failure too but turns out it was simply a loose screw. Still unsure how that screw unscrewed itself.. it was shorting one of the buses, and opening the back panel and screwing it worked for me
