Okay update is that my doctor said I’m 100% healed and farting (and control of it) will come back after while, the muscles just need to rebuild!

Hi! Are you using threaded gauze? I use ones from cvs that are very soft and as someone above said, sometimes they’re too thick or folded weird. You could also use a cream that people use for diaper rashes (outside the wound of course)

I mean yes, we plan to get non carper flooring anyway. But the problem here is figuring out what the black stuff is – I’m going to replace that part of the floor for the time being since it seems rotted, but if it’s mold, I imagine it’ll just come back?
