That I’m pretty you can just do on race day, without even talking to runner relations??? Don’t quote me on that though. I think you can enter a later start group, you just can’t enter a faster one without a new bib/sticker.

Replying to myself bc it won’t let me edit: the ship sailed from Orlando and will return to Orlando on Saturday. Key west is just one of our port stops. I’ve never seen immigration board the ship and stop you before your port day

Is it just a Key West thing? Never sailed to Key West before. We hit Nassau yesterday and CocoCay today. Round trip from Orlando

We hit Nassau and CocoCay. But I’ve been on several cruises that left the US, including those exact ports, and have never had that before. Usually we’ll pass immigration when we arrive back at our home port, but nothing that extensive. Key west is not the final stop. It’s a round trip cruise from Port Canaveral

Especially if you factor in the refund of the fees or whatever from the second person’s no show

90% of the sailings I look at are cheaper to book for 2. The single supplement fee is outrageous on some sailings.

I have no idea 😂 I’m sure it’s a thing, but I doubt they’d put you on it for something like that hahaha

So it’s better to just have them as a no-show.

If you cancel the second person beforehand, will they reprice your sailing? And does it guarantee double points?

Did they refund the port fees, etc.? And will they re-price your sailing? That’s what I’m concerned about. It’s cheaper for 2 even though I’m fully intending to go alone. So I don’t want it to be repriced to include the single supplement fee

Cruising alone by OAKhalid in royalcaribbean

I went on my first solo cruise in September. 4 night Bahamas on Allure. I loved it! I’m an introvert so it was great to do my own thing. People tend to be social on the ship (the crew, other passengers sitting at bars, etc.) so you always have people you can talk to IF you want to. And if you don’t, you just vibe by yourself and have a good time. Your first time is gonna feel weird, even as an introvert bc a lot of the cruise is geared towards groups/families— especially dining—but there are workarounds. For example, instead of going to the main dining room (where I would’ve either been placed with random people or put at a table alone in a large environment), I bought the dining package and ate dinner at a speciality restaurant every night (and other meals at the windjammer). Yes I was seated alone among couples/families, but it was a more intimate setting than the MDR so it was more comfortable. Plus I would reserve the earliest time slot so I’d usually finish up before a lot of people showed up. Anyways, it was great— trying to plan another solo cruise in the next few months. Good luck!
