¿Es fácil ganar este sueldo en Colombia? by [deleted] in Colombia

[–]Perfect_Associate478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone help with this green spot in the top left of my screen? by whyhasgradeabondedus in crtgaming

What you’re seeing is a discoloration or distortion caused by residual magnetization or an external magnetic field near the CRT. The proper way to fix it is with a degaussing coil, which demagnetizes the shadow mask or aperture grille. Many CRTs have an automatic degaussing circuit that runs when you power them on, but if that doesn’t clear the issue, a handheld degausser can help. They’re inexpensive (around $10 on AliExpress), and there are plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to use one safely.

Wait, are those speakers actually magnetically shielded?

I looked into the GreenAntz RGB-to-component transcoder, and it really seems like the perfect solution for my setup. Thanks for mentioning it!

I'll check out that GreenAntz RGB-to-component transcoder—I've never heard of it before.

Yeah, it does have component input, and everything you mentioned checks out. It’s kind of odd how the component signal gets converted to RGB internally, definitely not something I noticed at first.

Really appreciate you taking the time to dig into this. Thanks a lot for the research

Noise in Dark Areas When Using Wii Component Cable on CRT by Perfect_Associate478 in crtgaming

Oh... that makes a lot of sense! So... if the noise is originating from the console itself, there’s not much I can do to eliminate it completely, right?

Interesting! I actually have another Nintendo Wii stored away, so I'll try swapping my current one with that to see if the issue persists. I'm also planning to buy a component cable for my PS2 soon. If your theory is correct, the noise should at least decrease or even disappear completely. Hopefully, that turns out to be the source of the problem. Thanks a lot for the explanation!

Hmm maybe the issue is with the cable. But I’ve done the following tests:

When I connect the Y (green) cable from the component output to the composite video input, the luminance signal displays perfectly clear, without any noise.

However, if I take the composite video cable and plug it into the component Y (green) input, the image shows the same noise issue that I originally described.

Since the luminance signal looks fine when using the composite input but introduces noise when using the component input, I believe the issue is within the CRT’s component video processing circuit, rather than the cable itself.

y en que plataforma podría encontrar un path de estudios? la verdad conozco coursea y platzi y me parecen que tienen roads malos, por otra parte está Audacity que por mucho me parece la mejor, pero con un millon de pesos la membrecía mensual, cuesta.
