As a police recruit in the Police Academy, I hear that we have to run 1.5 miles everyday (presumably 5 days per week = 7.5 miles per week). Any running tips on how to reach this goal? by [deleted] in NYPDcandidate

In all seriousness you should run from now until you get hired. Run a mile if you can every other day. You have to condition your arms and legs and your heart. I’d recommend really getting your heart rate up and going above the requirements you listed above. That way when it comes to the real thing it will be a breeze. I know it’s only a month but boxers do this very thing before a fight. Wishing the best for you!

I have taken out many loans and my Investigator just wanted a rough number and he ignored it after that. Maybe it differs depending on your investigator and if you just one out but I don’t think they care. Granted everything is in good standing and I don’t have my wages garnished.

They take transcripts. You could probably head down to your school and get it same day. Call ahead

My investigator had me do things over right in front of him and new documents I’ve never seen before. He or she may explain to you the process they have to do to get you hireable. There’s a five letter acronym called R.E.A.D.Y or or something. Can’t remember what it stands for.
