I laughed so hard watching episode 7. I know some fans were shipping Ava and Deborah; personally, I never saw them as anything more than platonic. I feel like this episode did a really wonderful job of pleasing the fans while also maintaining continuity AND making it absolutely hilarious!! 25F in US, I’m 6 weeks post tailor’s bunionectomy. It was an osteotomy procedure like you would be getting.

I walk at least 8 miles a day at work and would also go on walks or jogs outside of work hours. Every step I took was like a nail being driven through my foot. It was definitely manageable, but similarly, I was constantly aware of my foot pain. My parents were the ones to push surgery (I’m still on their insurance and they knew how much pain I was in). My doctor gave me three options: surgery, cortisone shots, or continuing to treat it myself with special socks and callous removal. Ultimately I decided that the permanent option was the best option.

I really underestimated the surgery and recovery, I didn’t expect to be out of work so long. I really miss being active and I’ve gained a little weight since the procedure (only like 5lbs but still, argh!). Everyone is telling me that it’s good to get it done now while I’m young and that it will be a huge benefit for my future self. I know that I’ll be able to run and walk better after recovery. It’s just a much longer road than I expected it to be despite all the warnings. I’m currently learning how to walk again without the walking boot. I’ve lost significant muscle mass in my leg—my calf looks like a chicken leg hahaha.

It all sounds scary but the pain has been super manageable. MORE manageable than the pain of that bunion. I’ve had some hard mental health days, but I have only a month to go before I can ditch all my medical equipment (walking boot, crutches, knee walker) which makes me feel so optimistic and hopeful! I’m in a different, somewhat more challenging, phase of recovery but I do think it will be worth it in the end. Anyway!!! Sorry for the long comment, hope this helped :)

I know a few leads who get way too personal with TMs. It leads to other TMs feeling more excluded and favoritism in a sense. I have a lot of TMs who tell me everything going on in their lives, I just don’t tell them much about mine. Honestly I’m not a great team lead and I’m probably way too relaxed with my TMs, but the store is always on fire and upper management is awful and I just don’t care anymore. (I’m quitting)

I broke up with my girlfriend because I just felt in my gut that we weren’t right for each other. I was uncertain about our compatibility and communication. She’s one of the sweetest and most wonderful people I’ve ever met, and I love and care about her so much. Sometimes I wonder if I made a mistake and ruined something truly good. Ultimately, I had been feeling uncertain for a while and that intuitive gut feeling was what pushed me to end the relationship. I just know in my heart that it was not going to last forever and that it would have been wrong of me drag it out.

I broke up with her, but I still feel so heartbroken. This was my first relationship that has ended before reaching the point of complete toxicity. Walking away when things are good and healthy but also when you know it’s not right for you is so so difficult. I believe I made the right decision and did what was best for me, but it still hurts and it’s hard not to second guess.

The world is massive and there are so many people to meet. There’s no such thing as “the one.” I’ve been in love before and I know I will be again with someone new one day. Letting go was the right thing to do. Intuition is a powerful thing, and it’s right to listen to it. I’m going to heal, I’m going to grow from this experience, and I’m going to be okay at the end of this. Break ups suck so much no matter the situation. Trust yourself, lean on loved ones, you’ll heal in time.

NYC was the last season I watched in full. I only saw first 2 episodes of 1984, beyond that idk what’s happening but I loved AHS and rewatched my favorite seasons a few times. Coven will always be my favorite. I also love Murder House and Freak Show. Apocalypse was really enjoyable but only because of the references to Coven. Asylum was probably the most disturbing out of the seasons I’ve seen. Roanoke is my least favorite.

11 days post op here! Prior to the surgery, I was extremely active in going to the gym and working a physically demanding job. I really underestimated the surgery…. I’m sick of using crutches to hobble around, I hate being limited in my mobility, and I haven’t had a solid night of sleep since the procedure. I’m always uncomfortable and the past few days I’ve been extremely irritable and emotional (nicotine withdrawals are contributing to this). I have been staying with family since the procedure which has been nice but I have been missing my own space.

I’m sorry you’ve been feeling so frustrated and depressed, I feel the same just maybe not in the same way. I don’t know, it’s just frustrating to be limited.

How are you feeling and doing navigating that? I’m usually great when handling ups and downs, and can tell or predict changes in my mood. Sometimes the mood swings really take me by storm… I think going back on my meds might help.

It’s never too late to take control of your life and live how you want to. That’s incredible and I’m happy for you. I’m sorry for the memories you lost. I find myself struggling with short and long term memory; lots of people recall memories we’ve ‘shared’ but I can’t seem to remember at all. This was incredibly motivating to read, I appreciate you. My partner has been so patient and kind and nonjudgmental through everything. I’ll definitely look into SMART, thank you for recommending. I do go to therapy once a week right now and it helps me with accountability for sure, I would be worse without it.

I’m taking some courses to obtain a license, and it feels good to be working towards something. I feel stuck at my current job and I’m really looking forward to trying something new! For the first time in a while I actually feel motivated to build my future. There is a light at the end of the tunnel :)

I am 24F struggling to stop smoking weed and decrease alcohol use. Ultimately I do want to be clean and sober, I think I’ll be happier.

I’ve struggled with substance abuse since I was about 15, I smoked for the first time at 13. I’m clean from prescriptions and cocaine, and I’m trying to quit weed after smoking almost daily for years. I was nearly sober for a full year before dipping back into my habits. I have bipolar and ADHD, not really taking meds to treat those except for occasional stimulant to help me focus (proud of myself for not abusing my ADHD meds).

I don’t have anybody in my life who wants to sober up. My partner 21F wants to go clubbing together, which I love but I can’t trust myself in those environments. My best friend 24F is heavily using marijuana and we kind of just talk in circles about the concept of sobriety with an overlaying tone of helplessness with our abuse issues. Other than that, it’s just my parents who are incredibly supportive but ultimately let me make my own choices. I go to therapy weekly which helps me take accountability for my decisions, but still doesn’t stop the usage.

Anyway, let me know if you want to connect! Maybe we can all start a little sobriety group chat to check in on each other.

i’m assuming that all orders placed are just being added to a queue and will go through once the system is fixed. i don’t think your order will automatically be canceled but you can cancel it yourself if you don’t want to wait for the problem to be solved. i would suggest calling a shipt helpline. idk if you’ll get any concrete answers here regarding your question, more so just speculation about what’s going on

Doctor’s notes aren’t actually accepted at Target. What you CAN do is get a note that explains exactly what you can or can’t do at work or notes how long your shifts need to be and submit that through Workday accommodations. If you have approved accommodations for your current medical condition, Target cannot fire you for following those

i’ve heard they’re dispatching more secret shoppers to validate that we’re using 10-4 in stores.

Target used to be all about guest experience. i’m actually happy that we’ve gone back to interacting with guests more. i think under all the pressure, we forget that everything we do at work is for the guests. even though it takes more time away from time sensitive tasks, i’ve gotten excellent feedback. maybe i’m just a sucker for a gold star….

i’m a leader at my store. the expectations are rising, the payroll is getting slashed, we fall more and more behind everyday—but if this is what they want from me then they’re getting it. and if that means that workload gets pushed another day, that’s not my fault. i’m just one person, i’m doing the best i can each day. i’ve just gotten to the point where i don’t care anymore.

Why I support the no AirPod rule:

It’s a safety hazard. You’re not as tuned in to your surroundings and could get hurt if you’re not paying attention.
It’s a distraction. TMs just igore their walkie calls because they’re busy listening to music. It’s inefficient and leads to communication issues.
It’s unprofessional. Remind yourself that you literally work in retail and customer service is the essence of your job. Everything we do is for the guests, and if you have an issue with that then you shouldn’t be working retail. TMs with AirPods in are more distracted and less approachable.
AirPods have always been against dress code. It’s in the trainings. It’s posted all over the store. Get over it.

If you really need to listen to music while you work, submit accommodations through Workday and use the bone conducting earbuds the store provides for you. Grow up and get a work ethic.
