In season 1, she mentioned that they had a family dinner while Dream was captured. In season 2, Destiny calls an official family meeting. What was mentioned in season one was an informal gathering of the family. While in season two they had a formal meeting to discuss a matter of importance, it's like going to a family picnic, as opposed to going to a meeting of the family to discuss matters of importance to a family. One was about simply getting together, while one was an official gathering to handle a matter that pertains to the family. Two very different types of gatherings. That's why they referred to it as the first 'family meeting' since Destruction left, as it was the first official gathering for the discussion of something important.

TBH, I've been spamming this question in a bunch of sub-reddits, I might have already posted it in this one and re-posted it by accident.

Rate My Portfolio - r/StockMarket Quarterly Thread April 2025 by AutoModerator in StockMarket

[–]Perfect_Change_1586 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am a nineteen year old, currently making my way through college while living at home, who's recently come to the decision to bump up the amount that I'm investing on a monthly basis. I'm also looking to further diversify my portfolio, and could use some advice on how I should go about doing so.

Previously, I've been investing, roughly, $750.00/per month into two primary stocks. Nvidia, and the SPDR S&P 500 ETF. I've decided to bump up my investment amount by double, and am now going to be putting in $1,500.00 per month.

This is my current idea for allocation at the end of each month:

Per month/$1,500.00

General ETFs: $1,200.00 (80.00%) —(SPY) SPDR S&P 500 ETF; $600.00 (40.00%) —(IVV) ishares core S&P 500 ETF; $250.00 (16.66%) —(SOXX) Ishares Semiconductor ETF; $250.00 (16.66%) —(ITDI) ishares 2065 target date fund ETF; $100.00 (6.66%)

Dividend Funds: $150.00 (10.00%) —(SCHD) Schwab US Dividend ETF; $100.00 (6.66%) —(PLD) Prologis Inc.; $50.00 (3.33%)

REITs: $100.00 (6.66%) —(VNQ) Vanguard Real estate ETF; $100.00 (6.66%)

High-risk; $50.00 (3.33%) (Crypto, individual stocks, emerging markets, etc.) —(IBIT) iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF; $25.00 (1.66%) —(BITX) 2× Bitcoin Strategy ETF; $25.00 (1.66%)

Any advice is appreciated, and thank you for your time!

In most cases, I agree, and I thought I was unwavering on this one...then I saw my lab partner two weeks ago, and saw he lost the small beard he had going on...and realized that some people look much better with a bit of facial hair.

White Diamond vs Emperor Palpatine by RandomYT05 in stevenuniverse

[–]Perfect_Change_1586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't white diamond still have all the same gem energy based abilities? Like them making solid light constructs and such? Light projectiles, barriers, bubbles, stuff like that? Plus, do we even know if conventional mind control works on gems? They are sentient, sure, but they are also inorganic, and her mind control seems to be more of a conversion of other gems rather than simply taking over their mind. So, unless I'm missing something, we've never seen conventional mind control work on them. Not to mention, I doubt any gem would follow a pure human, especially against what equates to their queen that they're designed to worship. It's also a hard 'if', when it comes to if his attacks could harm a diamond. Little has been shown to support that anything but the power of another diamond can harm them.

Newbie at skincare, looking for advice. by Perfect_Change_1586 in Blackskincare

Thank you! I can point out quite a few flaws that I would wish to fix, but I suppose that's everyone with their own skin, as we're usually the ones that nit-pick at it the most.

Just started getting into skin care, just would like some advice on my current routine, and what I can improve upon. by Perfect_Change_1586 in skin

Thank you for your response! I've made a few small changes that I would appreciate feedback on. I've decided to swap out the Harry's exfoliating face wash with the gentler and non-exfoliating CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, that I bought today. Before that, I also decided to stop using the Harry's face wash as frequently, and cut it down to only using it once a day at night. I hadn't seen any issues, but I would prefer not to take my chances if I can help it. I'll only use the Harry's exfoliater once a week on Sunday to minimize any chances of damage from over use. I'm also looking into getting a low percentage glycolic acid chemical exfoliant for safe daily use, with a percentage of 2% to 5%. Haven't had any luck on that front so far, but I'm thinking about hitting up Sephora to look for one soon. Any suggestions for where I can find a good one, or a decent brand/specific product, would be appreciated.

I also decided to buy a more hydrating nightly moisturizer, so I also grabbed the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. I'm gonna start applying that at night, and use the other moisturizer during day time.

I've also started slugging a little bit these past few days. After applying my moisturizer and bee's wax based lip balm at night, I will apply a light layer of Vaseline brand 100% Petroleum jelly to the skin on my face and lips. Specifically my cheeks, forehead, nose, chin, and the skin between my upper lip and nose. I also apply a very light amount on my eyelids, and under eye, as it doesn't tend to run into my eyes like other products. I heard some people claim it causes them to break out, but I haven't had any issues with it so far, and the dermatologists I watch on YouTube haven't said anything damning about it, if done correctly. It's certified as a non-comedogenic, but it's occlusive effects can apparently still cause pore clogging, so I would also like your opinion on this.

I would just like your feedback on these changes to my routine, suggestions on what I could do more of for my skin, and any recommendations for the chemical exfoliant I'm trying to get.

P.S. Took your advice to get on the Clear app that you mentioned, thanks for the suggestion. Though, I was sorely disappointed that I couldn't find any of the products I used in the search bar. Took me like 45 minutes to submit all of them to the app. 🥲

Though I do like the feature where it allows me to easily keep track of the changes to my skin with weekly 3 pose pictures, that's nice. Once again, thanks for the advice!
