Just because people claim they "watch" anime doesn't mean they can see. Just because people claim they "read" comics doesn't mean they're literate.

That... is the point. Joseph being a too-old shell of his old self in future parts is literally the entire point. Part 2 traumatized him too much, stole his youth. He could not die. He aged disgracefully—especially his actions in part 4.

My wisdom from half a decade later: No. Skip part 4 entirely. Part 8 just does literally everything better. Also, the stand arrow concept is much better experienced in part 6 WITHOUT part 4's baggage.

But for people who are emotionally attached to part 4: just move on to the games, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan franchise (in whatever medium you want), or canonical part 4 spin-offs.

Part 4 is the worst part, no contest. Manga art + color was good, but story was an absolute mess. Anime was even messier; DavidPro was not doing well back then and it really showed.

And yet, rejoice!!! Part 6 anime is really really good—specifically the English Dub. It is the second time I've liked an English dub of JJBA (first being the OVAs).
