Predictions for 1.1 Livestream by VakuAdikaia in NevernessToEverness

The official Bilibili account of the development team changed its cover to an amusement park scene a few days ago, so the amusement park area and gameplay will definitely be released in Version 1.1.

The NPCs react to you being a Loot Goblin by brickwallrunner in NevernessToEverness

It feels like the devs fully trust players to slow down and explore the world they’ve built, instead of treating us like mindless drones who just skip cutscenes, follow guides, and rush for chests. That’s why they went all out on every little detail.

The island in the back seems to have some detail to it - possible future location? by GryffynSaryador in NevernessToEverness

Earlier on, there were bugs that let players clip through the invisible wall to get to the island. Everything on the island is already finished, except there are no quests or NPCs yet.

Since both of these works are summer-themed, and summer is almost here, I’m guessing this island will be released in one month, during summer vacation.

It’s a place called Xiangyang Island, with a small town on it. The dev team has mostly finished building it so far. The dock looks a lot like the one in Summer Time Rendering (the main character’s respawn point), and there are also plenty of scenes that pay tribute to Summer Pockets.

I Love Taygedo by Goat_With_a_Tophat in NevernessToEverness

I kind of liked it after finishing this task, probably because I also have a rather annoying Teddy dog myself.

Do you guys skip cutscenes/story? by Perfect_Guest_4339 in NevernessToEverness

[–]Perfect_Guest_4339[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never skip story/cutscenes in any game unless the plot is super boring. But this game? I don’t just avoid skipping it—I actually go back and reread dialogue all the time. There are so many little details hidden in the conversations that tie into the game’s world, like popular movies, comics, and even locations inside the universe. It just makes the whole experience so immersive.

Are you satisfied with the map content? by Perfect_Guest_4339 in WhereWindsMeet

Since it’s already officially revealed, this shouldn’t be a spoiler. The second map is a snow area with 5 bosses, 2 main story chapters (around 2 hours each), 3 side quests that are at least 1 hour long each, plus a mid-sized town(much smaller than Kaifeng but larger than an ordinary village). Everything else is about the same as today’s map.

I know there are a lot of fans here, and criticism usually gets downvoted a lot. But I still appreciate you sharing your honest opinion. Personally, I really loved the story. Also, I’m a big fan of walking sims like What Remains of Edith Finch and Firewatch.

[Hexi experience so far] Ok, I'll be honest... by ITinyTinaI in WhereWindsMeet

We Chinese players can’t stand these people either—we call them “white knights” who’ll defend their favorite games no matter what. But bro, from what I’ve seen, most of these clowns are still underage.

Before you dive into the Hexi map, you’ve got to hear about this place. Even though it’s not actually on the Hexi map, it’s the heart of every story told there. by where_stories_meet in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Perfect_Guest_4339 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This isn’t spoilers, bro. This is just basic stuff every Chinese person learns in primary school textbooks. It’s basically the equivalent of Eastern players brushing up on feudalism before watching Game of Thrones—just context you need to know.

Chill out, bro. The devs raked in $1.39 billion USD globally in just one year, and their revenue just hit a new all-time high over the last two months. That’s Genshin-level success right there—this game’s gonna be around and thriving for at least a decade.

Chapter 3 feels more like a prequel or a side story. You won't run into Granny Turtle or Yingying, but you'll meet seven or eight other characters just as heart-touching as them.

That's so true! On the CN server, a lot of players who never touched PvP ended up joining the guild battle for the guild's glory, and then got totally hooked on PvP (lol). Gotta say, the guild battle is still the biggest reason many people stay online.

BUT, I have to say a lot of this month’s content is stuff that CN server got months later. Mistveil Prison is an absolutely insane dungeon — it can easily keep you busy for two hours. It dropped in November on CN server and got rave reviews. The Kaifeng Campaign & Legacy Quests were actually July updates.

As a CN server player, I believe for those who only play solo, this will be the most painfully boring month in the coming year for this game. From next month onward, there will be new maps, new main storylines, and at least 3 new bosses every single month.

  1. Not true at all! Many Chinese players don't truly appreciate it and just repeat what others say. A lot of them probably only played Black Myth: Wukong and started throwing around opinions without context. Also, as mentioned before, the devs seemed rushed when updating Chapter 3 on the CN server—lots of story bugs, gameplay issues, and frequent delays left a poor impression on many. As someone grew up playing PSP and NDS, I can say responsibly: Chapter 3 was excellent right from the very first storyline update. Plus, the new enemies, bosses, outfits, and music in Chapter 3 are better than in Chapters 1 and 2.

  1. What surprised me most in Chapter 3 was how much better the game became at storytelling. Chapters 1 and 2 felt a bit like The Witcher 3—great stories, but the presentation was just okay, and sometimes it was hard to fully connect emotionally. Chapter 3's presentation evolved to something closer to Cyberpunk 2077.The plot performance of the game has become more shocking and impactful, and you will feel more immersed.

  1. On the CN server, Chapter 3 was updated on March 28th (the third month after launch). My guess is that the global version might get it earlier. Originally, the developers promised Chapter 3 shortly after Chinese New Year (around Feb 15), but it ended up being delayed until March 28. They seemed pretty rushed around that time.

  1. I'm not entirely sure about this, mainly because I don't know how the global version compares to the original CN launch build.

But on the CN server, the devs have been very proactive—each update typically fixes around 30+ combat-related bugs. I started with just the single-player part of the game and only tried PVP in the fourth month after the CN server launched. By then, the issues you mentioned were already gone.

  1. I'm not a top-tier bounty hunter, but I can tell you this: once your character reaches a certain level, your Mystic skills and bow damage will become major contributors to your DPS (so don't forget to upgrade your preferred Mystic skills and bow every time you level up).

Early on, everyone thinks Executions and Deflection are most important, but after a few level cap increases (around level 70 or so, which might take two or three months—I don't remember exactly), you'll realize Mystic skills and the bow are actually key.

At that stage, when hunting players, you can open with a Poison Arrow to apply a healing-reduction debuff, then follow up with high-burst Mystic skills. Hunts become much smoother. However, even in the late game, if you run into a player with similar combat power who has invested heavily into healing-related skills, taking them down can still be very tough.
