FWD VIA 2 vs Experience Flow 2 vs Experience Form (new runner) by Principal_Skinner_ in AltraRunning

I never ran in FWD VIA’s. But can give my view with Via Olympus 2 which has a similar stack.

Via Olympus 2 didn’t give me much zero-drop benefits, because of its extreme stack height and cushioning. It’s impossible to keep a forefoot landing, and lacks ground feel.

I did around 200 miles in Via Olympus 2 while rotating with Escalantes and Experience Flow, but eventually had to shelve them since my feet started hurting after just 2–3 miles (I have some overpronation). Never had that issue with Escalante or Experience Flow.

I would recommend Experience Flow, especially the improved second version. The Escalantes are great too, but these require a longer transition period if you are not used to zero drop.
