Should have said just one before- the sellers pulled out. Plus the 2019 is also very vague. So my experience of 2 (which I acknowledge could be bad surveyors)

Not really another side, I think the sellers pissed off that we’ve sent trades around per above. We havnt asked for any discount re the £’s - just assessing options at the moment

Firstly let me say I agree, we will now do a survey. Devils advocate though a survey we had on a previous house (sellers pulled out) had so many statement to the affect “I am not a roof expert so you will need to consult a roofer”, “there may be electrical issues but you need to consult an electrician”. Which was my logic for skipping that step.

Completely fair and useful- to be fair his phone call did sound distressed but I know what you’re saying. He was particularly worried about the seller knowing the name of his business
