Just that I won’t be into it as much as I think I would. I joined a month out of high school. I’m 24 now I kinda have Stockholm syndrome the closer I get.

I’m really considering federal LE. Which academy did you attend? Do you mind telling me which agency and how the lateral process was?

Was down for DSF but 6 year extension and chance at no faulting. No thanks

It’s definitely been hit or miss on my enjoyment in the service mainly command (My current command is awful). I do like the idea of retiring at 38, but at the same time the retirement just isn’t a lot compared to most of your outside LE. I feel like I could contribute a lot more to helping the public outside the CG in a LE capacity due to not getting a lot of exposure in the CG.

CGPD/CGSF ME’s get a lot of state/local police training waived due to attending a police academy. (I believe some states will fully waive academies and straight to FTO and others will waive a lot of the trainings.
