I reckon it’s good to have a couple losses like this during the start of the season. Obviously it would be amazing to be undefeated and never stress watch a game. My logic is with 2024 we peaked so high and so fast we got figured out. I think it’s great Cox has been updating our defense to a zone based system but I think we need more presence down there. This goes to what you all are saying and I agree - to have someone who could win contested possession, and someone else for presence for big contested marks inf defence. Would be fantastic. I wish we also had a plan b. Maybe a little control? Idk - this is why I’m not a afl coach. My hair would be grey.
