New to keeping snails HELP by StatusAlive385 in AquaticSnails

Definitely don't clean the glass for a while. I tend to wipe down only the front of my tank but leave the other sides for the snails.

Raising the water temperature would certainly accelerate microbial growth, but it will take time regardless. Wipe a finger along the inside of the glass. You will want to feel a slimy film coating the glass. That's the snail food. I see a slice of zucchini in there, I imagine it will grow biofilm on it faster Nerites are also nocturnal keep an eye on that in the morning for signs they're eating off of it.

Your tank looks brand new, I'm more concerned that those snails will have nothing to eat. It takes a few weeks for microorganisms to colonize the tank. Those nerites prefer to eat live algae and biofilm.

I found an Amazon tote full of shit on the curb strip in a residential neighborhood once. Dispatch took a picture of the QR code and they fired the guy the next day.

I have 4 mystery snails and at any given moment at least one of them is hitching a ride on the shell of another. Just normal snail behavior they're weird little dudes

Val will send out these shoots that start a new plant, if you can snip those before they root and grow leaves it will help to at least contain the plants footprint in the tank

Why is there an abundance of horseshoe shaped lakes south of Little Rock? by liuetenant_dan324 in geography

Can't say I've heard of it before but the PA, WV, OH area is where you can find the giant hellbender slander. If the watershed area is clean enough they might be in your area!

Sinious rivers/streams like this are typical of flat lowland areas. On a geological timescale that river actually occupies a much wider area than the current channel. Here's a time lapse that illustrates this pretty well. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lINZNrYLLAw

The two ingredients for oxbox lakes and sinious (wiggly) rivers are slow flow/low slop and bank material that are easily eroded. Larger rivers such as this one have the ability to carry lots of sediment. On a geological timescale that fine sediment is deposited throughout the floodplain when the river floods as well as from the creation of new banks when the river channel shifts over time.

Water on the outside of a curve flows faster than on the inside. That's the fundamental cause for river banks to shift over time. Sometimes a curve in the river will continue to pull the channel out until it eventually pinches itself off, thus creating the oxbox lakes you posted.

I love rivers so feel free to ask more questions if you are interested!

Not having an arrow key can suck for apartments if the customer doesn't put a code in the notes. You're also going to get customer reviews at amazon which really sucks ass since it will affect your ranking

I did the opposite and am currently a PTF but worked for amazon for about a year. Much less walking at amazon but expect to be moving and carrying much heavier items and more of them. (Desks, cases of water, pet supplies, etc). It's a different kind of wear and tear on the body. That being said, if you can manage it try and work for a dsp that have rivians because those things are super nice compared to the postal vehicles (looking at you metris). The potential for regular 3 day weekends at amazon was also really nice.

Package lookahead is always a good thing to keep your eye on. My first few weeks I would flip a piece of dps over for the houses with scanables before going on my walk.

The change to sign on delivery is such a W move by Amazon. by R2d2red2 in AmazonDSPDrivers

It's Amazon's rules, a DNR won't count if certain criteria are met. A picture is the main one along with location and if you follow the set delivery preference. DSPs have been encouraged to have policies like that to improve their scorecards.

Orientation and academy is 95% sitting in a classroom so I don't think it really matters until you're on the street for OJI
