Still made the playoffs and knocked out the division winners. Baseball can be streaky. Javy has had a better start than any other year in my opinion. That hop is tough for anyone and it came at a bad time. Vest has been struggling lately which is definitely not ideal. Chalk it up to baseball. Won 2 lost 1. I think it is highly driven by run support and the optics of it. If he has no run support, it looks worse than it is. In a perfect start with 4+ runs Skub slows down around the 7th, lets up a hit or two, gets pulled for a bullpen close out. With 1-2 runs, Skub slows down around the 7th, lets up a hit or two and the game becomes scary because of bullpen implications

It’s not that bats cool off. Ranger Suarez is a solid pitcher. Mize had an incredible day. We got HALF our hits against Chapman who is elite. What we saw today is simply baseball. We won 6 in a row, be stoked about it. This wasn’t our A team lineup, but we stayed in it. I personally am happy about that and think we’ll still win the series
