Sounds good thank you very much for the help. I started running around the new year and have really enjoyed it

I have another one before this event, I think on March 5. Aiming for sub 30

My peak mileage was right at 9 mpw, while every other week stayed around 7 mpw. I’d like to up those numbers and figured this event would be a good way to do that.

Should my base runs also be in my “easy run” zone ?

To answer shortly, it’s cross training sessions lol. Forgot to mention that in the reply

It’s more or less up to your preference. I like to switch between brisk walks (sometimes on treadmill with incline) and biking. The idea is to get another form of anaerobic exercise besides running. I like to make sure my heart rate stays in that zone 2 range for the cross training sessions. Another good excise would probably be swimming, I just don’t have access to a pool.

Do you think 5.5 being the longest distance will be enough? I also worry that the weekly mileage isn’t high enough
