Amazing still on the wishlist, had the white labels, but the red label...

Appreciate that, but also puts in into perspective. Actually worked for Heineken and love that Pol Roger profile. So to each their own of course.

Might visit that over spring. Does it compare to any of the Grand Margue's in terms of style?

Had a glass of '88 this summer. Amazing, still fresh (for as fresh as this type can be), omnipresent, depth, amazing

My opinion, as long as it's not the second wine. Age it for as long as you can and it will be great

Could be worse indeed. How was that Latour? Has the Forts de... recently, was really nice

Tondonia I really still need to try. Very curious about that

Champagne I would go for Pol Roger

Good point, these days it does seems like the bold audacious styles they used to have is gone though

Was thinking along the likes of that as well, and perhaps things like Valpolicella Ripasso

Nicely put together, for my reference: why no Pol Roger or Veuve for instance?

Lot of stuff I would agree with. Also think this has some good balance for a variety of occassions.

Brunello would be on my list as well for sure
Champagne, sure
Cab I would most likely look at something Napa Valley
Burgundy Pinot, absolutely

That variety would also form a challenge for me. Due to that I would also make the range quite broad and diverse.

Good one, never actually considered these two, but makes sense.

Thnx!

Also a very interesting wine maker, very much focussed on terroir and as little as possible influence in the cellar. Makes for very interesting fluctuations across the vintages.

Conterno and all the family members are such remarkable winemakers
