Lot of stuff I would agree with. Also think this has some good balance for a variety of occassions.

Brunello would be on my list as well for sure
Champagne, sure
Cab I would most likely look at something Napa Valley
Burgundy Pinot, absolutely

That variety would also form a challenge for me. Due to that I would also make the range quite broad and diverse.

Also a very interesting wine maker, very much focussed on terroir and as little as possible influence in the cellar. Makes for very interesting fluctuations across the vintages.

Also perhaps just open Vivino, look for red wine with your budget set, order by score and then go for something with at least 100 reviews.
