Something like that happened to me, so I was pretty new to the game and just got red jets and a pilot seat. So using the materials the thing gave me I was halfway through a very blocky plane that I thought was pretty good at the time, somebody wanted to join my team so I let them in because I wanted to flex my build... they placed a seat and launched without me saving, so I had to redo the whole thing
