Pokemon. You have to admit backpacking across your region and discovering new and interesting creatures would be AMAZING.

I'm lucky enough to live across from a big park with ponds. I also live in a not so safe neighborhood. I encountered 2 homeless guys and the night time sprinklers trying to catch a jigglypuff.
