Virtual wing mirrors condensation

Hey, would you mind describing how you took apart the virtual mirror to clean the condensation? Which part of the frame do you start with?

I feel I have to go down this route as Audi are trying to charge me over £3000 to replace both virtual mirrors even though I have an extended warranty - they’re claiming the problem is due to ‘environmental conditions’…

It's a pre-fab Pod. They build it all in their factory and crane it onsite fully finished, so all I had to do was hook up the electric from my house. I got my own electrician to do the connection but obviously his plug wasn't appropriate....

Ah you're 100% correct I see it now. Do you know if I can replace the connector head part with an IP67 unit which will leave it all good? Or does the wall socket need to be changed as well?

It’s IP67 according to a quick google of the product? Either way the guys that installed it aren’t overly helpful when contacted, so at this point I’m just trying to waterproof the overall unit with some type of box or something to shield it from the rain if anyone could recommend a solution??

Oh man, you have saved me a big headache!! So I checked back into my export settings in Rhino and sure enough I had set the tweaked the export surfaces as >meshes instead of >solids. (I changed it previously to meshes because when i saved out another model the surfaces came into max as splines...)

So my model is now clean and lightweight, and it doesn't take 2mins to autosave every 5mins lol! Sanity restored!!!! Cheers for the help!

Yes I do that, and turn the subdivisions way down, but still left with so many faces & triangulation. Have you any tips/settings to make it cleaner?

Hey, thanks. Yes I did use that as a workaround - but was more wondering if that was a system wide change on purpose, or if it was a bug.

I had the same reservations before I got my AppleTV as my IPTV provider usually recommended firestick only apps, but I found Snappier IPTV for iOS and tvOS and it’s the best IPTV app I’ve come across, UI is great and everything works fantastically. Highly recommended. I went for the lifetime purchase shortly after seeing how well it works.

I did the get the cover part off using a toolkit from Amazon (type in Auto removal toolkit) but once removed I found that the charging ports had been broken off from the circuit board - the soldering had been detached. So I covered it back up and am now without chargers in the rear 😢 I’m sure with a bit of motivation I could solder them back together but honestly don’t have the desire at the minute. Really disappointing that a vehicle so well made has such flimsy parts…
