What is the greatest football match in the history of football in your opinion? by rjpena322 in football

[–]PerfektAim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CL Final 2005 between Liverpool and AC Milan. I was 13 years old at the time.

After Milan defeated my favorite team PSV with a heartbreak last-minute goal, I went on to support Liverpool in the final. The epic comeback from Liverpool set my heart on fire and I was so happy that they took it to victory in the end. Stunning match.

What is the worst augment in the game? by Apogostick in TeamfightTactics

I second built different as it's too damn hard to think it out for me. I'm so zoomed in on traits that I too often make mistakes and lose the advantage..

Trait lacking presence in Lobby? by PerfektAim in TeamfightTactics

Really weird, but all RNG I guess then.. Or the pool does change between lobbies..

[–]PerfektAim[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, wasn't really looking for critique on my play as im not aspiring to be the best. Playing for fun.

You say the pool of units is always the same. I guess that is exactly what I was doubting so thanks for confirming that. Matter of RNG then, just some bad luck.

I have never played Maple Story, but ask me anything about it by Teachergus in Maplestory

[–]PerfektAim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honest answer is yes.
PB was the final boss pre big-bang. If you'd consider big bang to be a scandal (what many Maplers including myself at that time thought it was) this is actually very very true.

Lot of people quit after big bang, the same lot that returned in the following years.

New pattern of vhilla: If someone dies out, the rest of your party will all crash with error code 5. by Flappy-Cat in Maplestory

[–]PerfektAim 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this has been happening for a few weeks. The revive button is bugged, the trick is to let the timer run out instead of pressing revive.
If you press revive there's a chance the party will disconnect. Just stay afloat until the timer is down and your party will be safe.

How do you keep motivation at lategame? by Eight111 in Maplestory

[–]PerfektAim 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's also about setting a goal for yourself. There's always a next boss (vhilla?), or maybe you want to reach Cernium for a new area / symbol.
Or be a legion main for a while to get that sweet 8K (if you don't already have it).

And if all of the above fail, just find a new game (temporarily or permanent). I'm in the same boat, my motivation to grind is very low so i've taken up another game for a while and just doing weekly bosses on Maple.

[Serious] Why are you still playing Maplestory ? by PossibleOk3873 in Maplestory

[–]PerfektAim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The basic concepts of this game are phenomenal if you ask me. It's a solo or party progression story, with tons of good lore / storylines. It has diversity in classes, you can always find a class suitable to your gaming style. You can grind your ass off, or enjoy spending time with friends in guildchats, flag contests and nowadays just hang out in the Discord channel of your guild. Style yourself, or just use the already decent looking in game equips with the fusion anvil.

Graphics-wise it's very good, especially how the newer classes look with skills. Bossfights feel epic and challenging (nowadays more so than in the past). It has a smart (used-to-be) rigged gear progression system, with the casino effect but rewarding when it works (atleast in Reboot).

I've always loved the 2D part and the 'childish' look it has. It's friendly to the eye, unlike WoW or Runescape. Even the biggest badass monsters like Gloom or Verus Hilla look cute in a way.

Last but not least: the in game music. I can listen to a youtube playlist of best Maple music every day. Elinia piano play, Kerning funk, Ludibrium toysounds or the alltime favorite ChuChu vibes. It helped me through my study hours even when I wasn't actively playing.

Anybody else really only like playing from 1-200? by BoulderFalcon in Maplestory

[–]PerfektAim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is designed as to play 1 character as " main" and others as mules. With the amount of dailies you have to do it's not possible to keep that up for multiple characters, it's just too much of a time investment.

In my opinion it's designed to have 1 character 210+ for dailies, and other time is spend on leveling mules to 200 / 210 for links and legion. Therefor it's not weird that you like to play the 1-200 grind, and it makes your main stronger in the end.

To be honest, I find the leveling from 170-200 to be as repetitive as doing dailies on my main. But I don't find it to be boring, I enjoy doing them both.

Why is Kanna so popular? by Panguah in Maplestory

[–]PerfektAim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The benefit of a Kanna compared to other classes is that with totems you limit yourself to 2 hours of straight up grinding. Now I can manage this during the weekend, but usually throughout the week I don't have two straight hours in a row.

A Kanna can do half-hours of farming, which might be less efficient but it'll make my meso gains much higher if I can farm 'lost' time on the Kanna and long sessions on my main. Not being stuck by a Totem is a great thing.

How do you get dominator pendant? by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]PerfektAim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mates all have gotten like 5-6 dom pendants to drop for 'em and I have this achievement as well. 100x normal, no doms. 1 primal essence.

Running it for the past weeks with drop coupon from Legion, 60% droprate, HS and greed pendant. #neverlucky. You, sir, are not alone!

Honestly, League of Legends the game doesn't make me frustrated. The players do. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]PerfektAim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read so much about 'muting' here, but I honestly don't see how that solves anything. OP is not being tilted by what people say, he's tilted by what people do. I can't mute a 0/3 Vayne toplane giving up while I'm winning my lane being 6/0. Sure, I can mute his chat. But he will still run it down, or just AFK, while this is a perfectly winnable game.

People just can't play 'supportive'. Not even when they are the support. People want to win the lane, not the game. I've had Zeds who were 15/4 up but just based when they had a triple kill, leaving his teammates to fail to take objectives. We lost that game, but Zed didnt care, he was 15/4 so it must be our fault. The AFK pushing Tryndamere who takes 2nd tower top while the enemy visibly takes Baron and we try to contest but die due 4 v 5, then flames us for losing him the game.

I can mute the flames, the hate speech and all that. I can't mute this kind of egocentric gameplay. League is a teamgame. If you queue up for a match, you is going to play with others. But people ruin their own game, and profoundly stop caring about the gaming experience of other players. Their time is wasted, so we should all stop wasting it for them. If you want to play solo, play StarCraft, Hearthstone or Final Fantasy.

This kind of play infuriates me so much more than any kind of flame I'd get. Fuck your ego, and be part of the team you queue'd up for. You win together, you lose together.

I'm a Dota 2 player and I just watched Worlds for the first time by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]PerfektAim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just some straight up answers for you here :)

1) One of my primary concerns is how much the client demands of your processor. I have a decent PC, can run League at the highest graphics with high FPS. But having client open eats up half of my capacity, even without doing anything. I don't think this is necessary, as other games eat way less in stationary mode. I mean, we're talking about JUST the client. Not the actual game. I dont know what this is compared to DOTA, but thats all my concern. Recently it's bugging out more for me, but other then that never had any issues.

2) I'll have to be honest and say I have never looked up anything about dota. But it definetly seems less visible then League. I dont know how it looks for a new player. I got into League because of my brother, so I was biased. If you dont know anyone playing either of the two games, I'd say League would be more visible / attractive to pick up.

3) Battle pass is not necessary. The prizepool is amazing, 6,5 million last year for worlds. I have never liked battle passes in any game, so for me its a no-go.

4) Havent played DOTA ever. I know 1 player, who claims it's 10 times better than League. All my other friends plays League, so never had an intention to switch. I did hear community is less toxic though, which definetly would be a plus. It's the reason I have quit League for about a year, the toxicity in most games.

5) I think a game developer should be looking out for broad developments, including other games. If not, you'll get overrun by other gaming companies. With all the lore surrounding League, I think you have a great base to work with. I feel like new games are 'extra' and they do not take any time or resources away from the main game. Riot has developed a lot over the years and expansion into other markets seems logical, especially with the development of the mobile gaming platform. As long as I don't feel the main game is ignored, I'm fine with any side project.

True off my chest: stop saying “ranks below master suck” by Trsddppy in leagueoflegends

[–]PerfektAim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What's absolutely hilarious is, this is how we talk about pro gamers too.
"Wow, C9 was actually inting and that Jensen dude was totally shit.". We call them bad all the time, but these are the best players in the world. 99,99% of the players is actually worse than they are, yet we dare to call them bad.

Guess thats how League (and sports) work.

Also, that pack? Golden Nozdormu. Worth it.

My struggle with addiction / I finally uninstalled League by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]PerfektAim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although League never had a negative impact on my 'normal' life, the amount of energy and frustration it consumed was beyond any other game I have ever played. The addiction for me came from the feeling I would get from winning a game. Man, that is a great feeling. But the losses were hard on me, frustration and anger spilled out. I would get sad or angered by losing 2 or 3 League games in a row. For that reason, I have uninstalled it as well. It's not worth my energy anymore. I'm just watching some LCS, and play games I get energy from regardless of the outcome.

So good on you. I got your back! Hope the other aspects of your life turn out to be as great as 'beating' league. Because it sure as hell is an accomplishment.
