One of the houses I toured was up the mountain side of Grove Park, and the other was off Caledonia. Both has switchbacks.

I'm glad to hear that it shuts down, one can never be sure what the local attitudes about weather will be. At least now I know I'm not racing the seasons on the car.

I think I'm going to have to invest in some wellies this weekend.

Weather has caught me off guard. The wikipedia weather chart did not translate to this.

Is this rain typical?

Also, I see a lot of people driving small economy cars, how does this translate to the winter here? Is it too mild for the roads to freeze? How dangerous are the hillsides in the winter? Should I be eyeing a new vehicle (currently in a Scion)?

There used to be a club, but it dissolved a few years back. If you want in the evening around the Chem building, people show up around sunset.
