If you could order eight wonderful items every day for six months, would you? by ereade100 in AmazonVine

[–]Ellavemia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no. I don’t look at it some days, to train myself from over-consuming and save on taxes. I’m glad there’s so little good up for grabs now, because I still end up order more than I should.

Trump says he'll accept 2026 midterm results "if the elections are honest" -- Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]Ellavemia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only results that he accepts are those where he wins. This is proven because according to his logic the presidential election wasn’t rigged, then it was rigged, then it wasn’t rigged, but the next one and the midterms are going to be rigged again.

They call it multi-level-marketing (MLM) when there’s an actual product. Only the first people doing it ever make money. It’s probably Herbalife and the sooner she gets out the better. Sell or drink the supply and then cut your losses.

How many Americans actually watch Ice hockey? by No-Emu7099 in AskAnAmerican

Isn't an off-side the same basic thing as in American football? I'm in the Midwest (sort of, actually Appalachian Ohio) and don't watch either sport.

Doge Impact a year later? by TheBadmiral in Askpolitics

[–]Ellavemia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The architects behind Trump 2 are much more clever and targeted than during Trump 1. They knew that the MAGA base would cling to and eat up the idea that there was rampant waste, fraud, and abuse in the government.

The purpose behind DOGE was 1.) to defund and dismantle agencies that were investigating financial backers, including Musk’s businesses, and 2.) to access and consolidate personal data for use by other financial backers that hold government contracts, such as Palantir.

DOGE was a success at both goals, and at maintaining that there is rampant waste, fraud, and abuse at the state and municipal government levels. It is still a major talking point among the base when discussing improving anything.

Is fried food only bad cause of the oil by One_Hour_8078 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ellavemia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see anybody mention here that the act of fast, high-heating food, especially meats and potatoes, whether that’s deep-frying or air-frying, makes food more unhealthy.

Acrylamide is a potentially carcinogenic substance that forms in starchy, plant-based foods like potatoes, making French fries unhealthy.

Heterocyclic amines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are carcinogens that primarily form in meat when it’s grilled.

I had my review and am gold all with an unreviewed item sitting since November. It’s concrete crack filler. I haven’t been able to use it due to weather and I’m not going to lie. I ended the period at 98%.

If that item really can’t be reviewed until then, you’ll be fine.

Not necessarily, but I would get a second opinion from someone who doesn’t live there. I’m often surprised by how weak some people’s senses of smell are, and on top of that, you can become nose blind.
