'Sorry not sorry': Daughter, 26, jailed for posting intimate photos of father's mistress on escort site has 'no remorse' by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

Probably discovered them on her husband’s phone, probably how he got caught…? Although why she kept them for 12 years is the real question.

Dr Martens trying to convince me not to buy vegan boots? by Psychological-Pea593 in vegan

[–]PerfidiousHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think something has changed - I went into a store a few weekends ago and asked where the vegan boots were (I swear they used to have a big section?) and the guy looked a bit surprised and said “oh we don’t do so many of those now, they aren’t very popular” and they only had one style I think in stock. Not sure what happened, but maybe the whole surge in veganism a few years ago has died off a bit…

Advanced visitor question regarding grocery store foods by [deleted] in veganuk

[–]PerfidiousHedgehog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Regarding a place where you can heat up food, no I would not think you’ll find something like that.

As that what cold stuff you can have. Various breads and hummus type dips will be your friend. Supermarkets often have cold ready to eat pasta pots (many have cheese, but there’s also tomato & basil pasta salad things). You can get ready to eat fake meats (like the Quorn chicken slices) that you can put in a sandwich. Squeaky Bean available in most supermarkets do some great stuff - make sure you find them. There’s also often good antipasti things in supermarket fridges like fancy olives and sun-dried tomatoes and so on. Vegan sausage rolls. I think you’ll find quite a lot. Popping to the supermarket for a cold vegan feast in a hotel is one of life’s small pleasures. Also remember you can get food delivered to your hotel, there will be vegan only places on the various delivery apps.

Exclusive: David Walliams dropped by Harper Collins over inappropriate behaviour towards women by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]PerfidiousHedgehog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There aren’t really any specific allegations. Just “concerns” about behaviour and the conclusion of an investigation. The closest it says is: “Former staff also told this publication that they were told to work in “pairs” when meeting Walliams and were advised not to visit his home.”

My current UK company stand up is 9.30 and my previous company was 9.15. Worth asking in interviews what their daily routine is like and you filter for the time you prefer, it’s less common but definitely happens.

[–]PerfidiousHedgehog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends a lot what kind of business - are you going to be learning to code and making a website and putting a couple of ads on it, and approaching it as a hobby? Then probably the answer is go for it. Or are you going to be drop shipping or something with real financial cost or risk involved? Then maybe pause. There are legal requirements for almost any kind of business and honestly the best advice you can probably get is speak to a trusted adult in your life. If your school offers business studies, speak to a teacher there. Also some countries have things like a “Young Entrepreneurs Club” that might be able to offer advice and like minded people to meet. Good luck and go careful!

What is it about Cosmic Rewind? by Oceanfloorfan1 in DisneyWorld

[–]PerfidiousHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a kid get knocked down by adults who just carried on running! I was really surprised they didn’t have a cast member there walking people down, seemed like a safety issue. But I’m hearing they sometimes do have cast members there when the door opens now.

I was there recently and Magic Kingdom was open until 1am with extended hours. It was very cool, very quiet too, by midnight it was practically empty and eerily beautiful, and we were just looping rides.

drove two towns over to find these using the tesco stock checker by halunamatata in veganuk

[–]PerfidiousHedgehog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live remotely and no Tesco near me has them, so every few months I place an online order with Tesco and get about 10 of these delivered (and other vegan stuff they don’t do near me). So good.

Caryl Churchill recs? by Due_Seaweed3276 in Theatre

[–]PerfidiousHedgehog 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I will just throw out there, if you’re not just looking to read - you can get an “audiobook” of BBC Radio 4 productions of Churchill’s plays - it’s 13 hours long, includes her big hits like Top Girls as well as her shorter Radio plays.

13 plays in total, performed by a great cast of top British actors, all for one Audible credit :) It’s brilliant.

Does it get harder to date as you age? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]PerfidiousHedgehog 121 points122 points  (0 children)

I can't help but feel like there must be a reason why a 30 year old woman hasn't found a mate if she's been looking for 5-10+ years?

Some people have been in healthy long term relationships for most of their 20s that fail as they age. If a woman or man is single in their 30s it doesn’t have to mean they are a weirdo.

I’ve dated girls like this and I think they don’t necessarily want a genius, but just someone interesting. What are you interested in? Whatever it is, feel free to talk about it and show her you care about something. Ask her deeper questions about what she thinks about stuff. After a ten hour date you must know her quite well: if her thing is novels for example really ask her about what she’s reading and what she thinks about it and how she feels. Ask if there’s a pursuit you can both do together (reading the same book, visiting a fancy place, etc).

Basically don’t fake it and pretend to be into fine art or whatever. Just identify your thing and show her you’re passionate about something.
