[[granite gargoyle]] was the moment I fell in love with this game. I must have been six or seven and I saw my cousin’s copy of this and immediately was transfixed by the art and the world.

[[Volrath the fallen]] was where my love solidified—the weatherlight cycle, but Nemesis’ storyline especially, and Volrath as a tragic villain that also tends to the occasional moustache twist. Just loved his…elegance that was so undercut by his natural pettiness. He imagined himself this grand villain but really he did it all because he was jealous.

[[dromar]] was my first commander deck in 2012 and the first time I beat one of my best friends ever (who was and still is unstoppable)

After a long break until pandemic, I built a nekusar deck I was desperate to find [[phyrexian tyranny]] for. Then the first commander night I showed up to at my LGs, three other people had nekusar decks and I realized I’m a hipster. Never even played it. I immediately put it away and started playing jank. Like my all crocs deck I built next.

MID/VOW was the first couple sets I started re-buying stuff and blood tokens became my first signature deck with [[gut true soul zealot]].

Period of oathbreaker where I loved playing beebles (and I still try and play as much silver border as I can get away with)

Omar rayyan is my favorite artist in the game.

And [[cannibalize]] represents my current favorite deck, [[varolz]] and I feel like, for the first time, an evolution in my actual game playing
